Shiurim

lecture in memory of Avi Kanon z'l (in English). Difficult
Conversations: Tested Tools for Divisive Times,
Monday, September 4, 2023, at 20:00 by Daniel Taub,
international lawyer and mediator, who served as Israeli
ambassador to the United Kingdom. The lecture will take place at

- Lochamim
baSalon- A project initiated by Ori
Goldreich in cooperation with Amutat Nata"l to raise awareness
of post-trauma in the wake of army service. The program
involves a series of meetings in private homes, in which army
veterans are able to describe the traumatic events to which
they were exposed, and to explain the difficulties that
accompany them in all aspects of their daily lives. The
ensuing discussion allows the veterans to express their
feelings in a supportive environment, and enables the
participants to gain a better understanding of the phenomenon

The first meeting (in Hebrew) in commemoration of 50 years
since the Yom Kippur war will take place on 5.9.23 at the

בנפשם. במסגרת הפרויקט, המעוניינים להקשיב, לתמוך ולשוחח, מגיעים
לסלון בית מארח לפגוש לוחמים שמשתפים מחוויות השירות הצבאי
והתמודדותם היומיומית בבית. בתום ההרצאה מתקיים שיח בין הקהל
לדובר. הפרויקט מאפשר למתמודדים להיראות, להישמע ולשתף בקשיים,
באותנטיות ובאווירה אינטימית וביתית, מה שמהווה צעד נוסף בתהליך
ההתמודדות שלהם. בתוך כך, עבור הקהל המפגש מאפשר חשיפה לנושא
"הפציעה השקופה", מעודד שיח פתוח, מסייע בהבנה ומאפשר הכלה של

- Join
ESRA Rehovot at the Lod Mosaic Archaeological Center,
9 Struma Street, Lod, Wednesday, 6 September, at 10:15. There
will be a one-hour English-language guided tour of a Roman-era
mosaic dating to 300 CE. Believed to have been created for a
private villa, it is one of the largest and best-preserved
mosaic floors uncovered in Israel. It depicts land animals,
fish and two Roman ships. Meet at the registration desk at
