Yerushalaim with a festive Maariv service at
19:33, followed by a singalong of songs about
Jerusalem and a light snack. We would like to invite members who
have stories relating to the Six Day War or about Jerusalem to

- Volunteers
needed! Shavuot is coming, and as in previous years,
we are looking for volunteers to give a shiur/lead an activity
for kids and teens in the community. We are looking for
volunteers for both Shavuot Eve and Shavuot afternoon. Please be
in touch with Deena (053-531-0688) if you’re interested. With
regard to learning on Shavuot afternoon, we plan to divide
learning into the following age groups: Gan children, grade 1-3,
grade 4-6 and grade 7 and up. And we need volunteers for all
ages groups!

Rehovot Chapter Presents via Zoom May 17, 2023,
19:30, “Bitter Reckoning: Israel Tries Holocaust Survivors as
Nazi Collaborators,” by Prof. Dan Porat. Shortly after its
establishment, the state of Israel prosecuted and jailed
dozens of Holocaust survivors who had served as camp kapos or
ghetto police under the Nazis. Dan Porat brings to light more
than three dozen little-known trials, and invites us to
consider what it means to be a victim in extraordinary
circumstances. Prof. Porat is in the Department of History and
Education, Hebrew University. All proceeds support ESRA
Rehovot after-school programs for children at risk. Cost: ESRA

- Tehillim
group - for women interested in joining an ongoing
Tehillim program. Each woman reads a few psukim (less than 10
minutes per week), and the group collectively finishes the
entire book on a weekly basis. If you would like to join the
group, or if you are already in the group (until now
coordinated by Ruth Rechtschaffen) and have not been contacted
