• The unveiling of the tombstone for Chana Miriam (Miri) Bodner z”l, the mother of our member Heshy Bodner, is scheduled for this Sunday, 23.4, at 17:30, at the Rehovot cemetery.

• Please note a special Sefira leniency for this Friday. This coming Shabbat is also the second day of Rosh Chodesh Iyyar. The Mishnah Berurah (493:5) rules that it is permissible to take a haircut and/or shave this Friday which is Erev Shabbat Rosh Chodesh, because it is in honor of both Shabbat and Rosh Chodesh.
• The Bikur Holim Committee would like to reintroduce itself to the community and remind members of our purpose and how it works. After receiving a request for a visit (either by the person needing assistance or by a family member or friend), a text goes out through Whatsapp to the committee and then people who are available to visit, reach out to the person to set a time for the visit. We may also be available to pick up medications or drive someone to/from the doctor. Sunday evening 23 April, 2023 (2 Iyar 5783), 19:50 Ma’ariv; 20:00 Remarks from the family: Hananiah Tannor; 20:10 Lecture by Dr. Tanya White: “Conversing in Covenant: From Rav Soloveitchik to Rabbi Sacks”; 21:20 Sushi and beverages. Tanya White is an International lecturer, writer and educator, with a focus on Tanach and Contemporary Jewish Thought. She is a Senior lecturer at Matan Women’s Institute for Torah Studies and gives weekly classes in other institutions. She is a graduate of the Matan Hasharon Scholars program and holds a BSc from LSE in International Relations, an MA in Jewish studies and philosophy from LSJS and SOAS London, and a PhD in Jewish Philosophy from Bar Ilan University.
