great sorrow, we announce the passing of Rabbi Shael Bellows
z"l of Chicago Illinois, a long-time supporter and
benefactor of the Tiferet Moshe Synagogue - Rabbi Jacob Berman
Community Center. The funeral took place at the Eretz Hachayim
cemetery on Monday, March 6. The family returned to Chicago for
the duration of Shiva. For further information contact R. Aryeh

SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS

- Purim
thank-yous. It was so nice to see the campus full of
Bermanim throughout the evening, and all day on Purim. Thank
you to all those who contributed to the festive
atmosphere, including 7(!) Megilla readings on
the campus: Organizers of the communal Purim Seuda,
all the people who read Megilla, Gabbaim
& Minyan coordinators, Beit
Midrash Mechitza set-up helpers, and
the Berman Band.
- Jointly
sponsored Yahrtzeit kiddush - Adar. The Adar JSK will
be held on March 18th, Parashat Vayakhel-Pekudei. To participate
in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com)
no later than Monday, March 13th. Participation: 150 NIS per
person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if
you do not hear back, please follow up. Your kiddush pledge or

- On Shabbat
Vayikra, the Shul will host a Scholar in Residence as part
of Shabbat Dorshot Tov where women Torah scholars come
to communities all over Israel and give Shiurim on Shabbat. We
are privileged to host Rabbanit Michal Kohane. She holds
a BA in Studies of Israel and Education, an MS in Jewish
Studies, an MA in Clinical Psychology, and holds a PsyD in
organizational psychology. She will be giving lectures both in
Hebrew and in English. More details to follow.

- We are
organizing a group of volunteers to join Leket Israel’s
“Harvest Helpers”, picking fruit and vegetables at
the Leket farm in Rishon. Help them deliver healthy and
nutritious food to 263 non-profit partners throughout Israel,
serving over 234,000 people weekly. We plan to go and pick
once a month on Wednesdays. Dates: March 15th, April 19th and
May 10th from 9:30-11. Please contact Pennina Safer 0544517031

Special Guest Speaker for Women's Parsha Shiur. Rebbetzin
Tziporah Heller-Gottlieb will speak to the Women's
Parsha Group this Shabbat afternoon at Chatam. We invite all
women in the community to be part of this special opportunity
to hear an acclaimed and much sought after Torah scholar and
lecturer. The shiur will be given in English and will
iy"H take place at 16:00 in the lecture room off of the Ezrat
Nashim.

Last week's Basement:
- ESRA
Rehovot Zoom lecture, Wednesday, March 15, 19:30:
“What Hunter-Gatherers can Teach us about Society, Education,
and the Environment.” For 95% of human history, humans lived
by hunting and gathering. Today, the Nyaka people living in
the rainforests of South India preserve this way of life. Dr.
Daniel Naveh, lecturer in the Department of Anthropology,
Bar-Ilan University, lived among the Nyaka for a year. He will
tell us about their lifestyle, and what Israeli society may
learn from their culture. ESRA Members NIS 25, Non-members NIS

will be sent to your email address once your payment has been
processed. All proceeds support after-school programs for
children at risk.
- Evening
Beit Midrash for working people. Ohel Shai is
initiating an evening learning program for young people. If
