- **TONIGHT**Shabbat Shuva
Drasha. This year's Shabbat Shuva Drasha will take
place on Thursday night the 29th of September (the 5th of
Tishrei) at 20:00 by our own Rabbi Prof. Yechezkel
Babkoff in English. The drasha will be on Zoom only.

- Kiddush
Behavior. The entire kiddush staff, both volunteer
and paid, work hard all year round so everyone can have a bite
to eat after Teffilot before walking home, and to provide more
lavish spreads when there is a sponsor commemorating a Simcha or
other event. On Rosh Hashana, several participants badgered the
kiddush workers and coordinator, and made demands in a manner
that was simply unacceptable. If you have a suggestion to
improve the kiddushim, please politely approach Judd, any board
member, or the president. The young workers may not be ordered
around, nor are they the address for complaints.
- The
library minyan will be back for Yom Kippur for those
who missed us on Rosh Hashana. See Tefilla times above. Please
let us know if you will be joining us so we will be sure to have
enough seats for everyone. Those registered for other minyanim
can switch to the library by filling out this
form, preferably by Sunday, noon. If you have not reserved
seats for any minyan, you may do so at www.bermanshul.org/reg5783.
Regular seat prices apply for those who did not reserve seats in
other minyanim.

- Yom
Kippur Setup. As always, we need volunteers to help set up our
additional venues. The Beit Midrash minyan organizers
would like volunteers to help set up on Monday evening at 21:30.
Setup for Hashkama on Monday evening at 21:15. Setup for the
library on erev Yom Kippur (Tuesday Oct 4th) immediately after
Mincha.
- Halacha
guides for Yom kippur. Yom Kippur is a day rich with
custom and ritual, personal and communal. In addition to general
information regarding ritual observance, the present guide "A
Yom Kippur 5783 Guide to Prayer and Ritual" by Rabbi Aryeh
Frimer will hopefully assist those individuals who, because
Corona, have chosen to pray bi-yehidut (in the absence of a
minyan) - through the related issues. The useful guide is
available here, and on the Noticeboard.
- Yizkor.
On Yom Kippur, the names of deceased shul members will be read
in the Main Shul. To honor their memory, we have also posted a
list of the deceased who were members at the time of their
passing, which can be seen here (women) and here (men), and on the Noticeboard.
- Please
bring your own Machzorim to all minyanim. The shul
has only a limited number.
- Jointly
sponsored Yahrtzeit kiddush - Tishrei. The Tishrei
JSK will be held next week on October 8th, Parashat Haazinu. To
participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com)
no later than this Monday, October 3rd. Participation: 150 NIS
per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives;
if you do not hear back, please follow up. Your kiddush pledge
