Bar/Bat Mitzva:
- Mazal Tov to Lisa
and Moshe Appel on their son Yonah
becoming a bar mitzvah. The occasion was marked last week at the
Hashkama minyan. Yonah and his family look forward to
celebrating with the larger community in the near future.
Engagements and Weddings:
- Mazal Tov to Freida
and Eddy Ollech on the engagement of Freida's
daughter Shira Sarfati to Stav Tsadok
son of Sigal and Tamir Tzadok from Rehovot. Shira and Stav were
classmates at Katzir where Stav was Freida's English student.
SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS

- Daylight
savings time ends Saturday night. Remember to set
your clocks back 1 hr on the night between Saturday and Sunday
(October 31st)...and as always, use the extra hour to do
something nice for someone you love.
- This
week's Kiddush is in honor of our New Members. In
order to get to know everyone, we will have photos up around the
pergola and play an "ice breaker" game. Each new member has sent
in a Fun Fact about themselves. Here is the list: Fun facts 2021 (or on the Noticeboard).
Read the fun facts, and during Kiddush walk around and meet new
people, trying to figure out who belongs to which fun fact! We
will all be wearing Name Tags (thanks to Pinchas) so everyone
will know with whom they are speaking :). MINGLE!

- Membership
renewal. All members should have received at least
one email about registering to renew membership for 5782, and
most have done so. For administrative reasons we have set a
deadline of 31-December-2021, after which those who have not
renewed their membership will be removed from the list of
members and their their membership privileges will be frozen
(see explanations at https://www.bermanshul.org/community/membership).
If you have not yet registered, please do so now via www.bermanshul.org/rhform
(the same link can be used to restore membership post-deadline).

- Jointly
sponsored Yahrtzeit kiddush - Kislev. The Kislev JSK
will be held on November 13th, Parashat Vayetzei. To participate
in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com)
no later than Monday, November 8th. Participation: 150 NIS per
person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if
you do not hear back, please follow up. Your kiddush pledge or

- Welcome
to Michelle and Jonathan Stoops! The Stoops just made
Aliyah from London! They are the parents of our member Lizzy
Silvermetz. The Stoops had a retail business for 30 years which
they are now retired from but still have a small property
business in the UK which Michelle manages. Jonathan would like
to take up cycling and tennis and is looking for others to join
him. Michelle is interested in history (and building up a book
collection) and knitting and would love to meet other knitters.
