- Shabbat
Shuva Drasha. This year's Shabbat Shuva drasha will
be given by Prof. Rabbi Yechezkel Babkoff via zoom on the
upcoming Monday night, Sep. 13th at 20:00 in English. The link

On Shabbat Shuva itself
the regular shiurim will take place between Mincha and Maariv.

- Tallit-
Lost and hopefully found. If someone accidentally
took a Tallit (white stripes and handmade fringes) from outside
the bathroom this past Shabbat, please return it to David Barkai
(054-2549297) or one of the Gabbaim.
Yom Kippur:
- Yom
Kippur setup: Tuesday Sept 14 Beit Midrash / library
Set-up: 21:30; Wednesday, Sept 15 (erev YK) Haskama minyan
set-up: 13:30. Please come help, wherever you plan to daven.
- Kids
who meet green pass requirements are welcomed at all minyanim.
This includes kids under age 3, and kids of any age who are
immunized, recovered, or have a valid negative Corona test. If
you are still unsure how to apply these rules, contact Pearl
Herskowitz by WhatsApp only [050-626-4790], and not after 10:00
PM. Masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn by
all attendees over age 6.
- Seating.
Places at the various minyanin may still be reserved for Yom
Kippur at www.bermanshul.org/reg5782.
Note that seats at all minyanim this year are on a
first-come-first-served basis.
- Please
bring your own Machzorim- The shul has only a limited
number.
- Yizkor.
On Yom Kippur, we will not be reading names of deceased shul
members. Rather, to honor their memory, we have posted a list of
the deceased who were members at the time of their passing,
which can be seen here (women) and here (men), and on the Noticeboard.
- Davening
Guidelines and Corona Guides for Yamim Noraim 5782 (2021)
The High Holidays is a period rich with custom and ritual. In
order to minimize the possibility of Corona contagion and to
allow for social distancing, davening has in part moved outside
the main building to the area of the amphitheater. Heat
considerations and a desire to minimize the duration of physical
contact in Shul, have generated a need to shorten the duration
of the Yamim Noraim davening. Last year for Yamim Noraim 5781,
The Halakha Committee of the Shul drew up guidelines to help
facilitate this goal. Sadly Corona is still with us and the
guidelines have now been updated and revised for 5782. All
the guides, including analogous ones for Yom Kippur, are
available on the Noticeboard.

Because of the pandemic, many individuals have chosen to pray
completely or partially be-yehidut (in the absence of a minyan).
To this end, Rabbi Aryeh Frimer has drafted the guides below
which will hopefully assist individuals in navigating through
the various issues.

5th year of the Rehovot Selichot Tour is underway!
The event is planned for Tuesday, 14.9.21, at 21:00 via Zoom.
Join us for a unique experience to help us learn more about
ourselves, the Rehovot community and Israeli society. The
project’s goal is to create bridges between different
communities in the city. This year we’ll explore the community
of immigrants from the former USSR – their history, their
unique approach to education, and the challenges of the
elderly and young adults in the community – via their own
stories and insights. The organizers of the tour come from
Rehovot organizations, including Psifas, Dror Yisrael, the
Centers for Social Justice and the Mediation Center. The Zoom
