Green Pass Requirements Apply inside our Shul. Masks covering mouth and nose must be worn at all indoor activities and will be strictly enforced. Distancing at the kiddush is highly advised. As always, if you don't feel well, even if you are fully vaccinated, STAY HOME. For indoor minyanim over 50 people, current rules require that all persons aged 3 and up must either be vaccinated, have recovered from COVID or have a negative COVID test (PCR) done within the last 72 hours (or a government quick test from within the last 24 hours). • We regret to announce the passing of Ada Feiwus-Richards ז"ל, mother of our member Karen Berger and mother-in-law of Elia Weixelbaum. The funeral took place on Tuesday 31st August in New Jersey. Rosh Hashana:

• We plan (IY'H) to send an email before Chag with final information regarding start times and any other updates regarding Minyanim for Rosh Hashana. Provisional schedule may be found here
• Holiday Hospitality. One of the wonderful attributes of the Berman community is its warmth and generosity. If you are in need of being hosted for any Chag meals or would like to host a Chag meal please contact hospitality@bermanshul.org.
• Seating. Note that (as mentioned in the High Holiday letter) seats at all minyanim this year are not assigned, and are on a first-come-first-served basis (i.e. You reserve a place at a minyan, but actual seating is first come first served).
• Looking for Shaliach Tzibbur for Musaf only (with shofar blowing) for potential additional Rosh Hashana OUTDOOR minyan for Musaf at 9:45am on both days. Please email Deena Lederman (deenaled@gmail.com) if you are interested in serving as the Shaliach Tzibbur on either or both days or if you are interested in attending this minyan.
• High holiday minyan registration continues, for members, and now for non-members as well. Please see details in the Membership 5782 letter here or on www.bermanshul.org/noticeboard.
• Please bring your own Machzorim as the Shul has only a limited supply.
• There will be an additional open-air shofar blowing on both mornings of Rosh Hashana, at 10:30 AM in the parking lot of the Yeshivat Hadarom campus. Please wear masks and maintain distance when attending.
• Additional (non-Berman) venues to hear Shofar: There will be Shofar blowing both days of Rosh Hashana: (a) in the Yekev on Hanasi Harishon street at 11:00, and (b) in the open-air entrance to 35 Hanasi Harishon at 16:00.

• Davening Guidelines and Corona Guides for Yamim Noraim 5782 (2021) The High Holidays is a period rich with custom and ritual. In order to minimize the possibility of Corona contagion and to allow for social distancing, davening has in part moved outside the main building to the area of the amphitheater. Heat considerations and a desire to minimize the duration of physical contact in Shul, have generated a need to shorten the duration of the Yamim Noraim davening. Last year for Yamim Noraim 5781, The Halakha Committee of the Shul drew up guidelines to help facilitate this goal. Sadly Corona is still with us and the guidelines have now been updated and revised for 5782. All the guides, including analogous ones for Yom Kippur, are available on the Noticeboard.

  Because of the pandemic, many individuals have chosen to pray completely or partially be-yehidut (in the absence of a minyan). To this end, Rabbi Aryeh Frimer has drafted the guides below which will hopefully assist individuals in navigating through the various issues.
