member notice – ACTION REQUIRED In preparation for
the High Holidays, please try to log in to your member account.
A sucessful login confirms your eligibility to book minyan
seats, with member privileges and pricing. If you cannot log in
because you didn't renew your 5781 membership,
you may register
retroactively now. If
your login attempts are unsuccessful and you don’t take
action, you will not receive the high holiday letter, and
will have to wait to book seats as a non-member. Newcomers
to the community are invited to preregister as candidate members
at www.bermanshul.org/newmember. Instructions
for 5782 membership renewal and High Holiday information will
be sent out in August.

held next week on August 7th, Parashat Re'eh. To participate in

arriving to Rehovot (via Jerusalem) next week. Our lift is
arriving later than expected. We are searching for anyone who
may have an air mattress or twin regular mattress to borrow,
and kitchenware. Lift is expected “sometime” in August. Thank

worker caregiver available for work with elderly. He
is a loyal, sensitive and caring fluent English speaker from

to borrow Tffilin for 101 year old gentleman in Gan
David Nursing Home. His were lost in the transfer from the
Independent elderly floor to the nursing floor. He is a very
orthodox man and he put Tffilin on every day. If you have a
spare pair of Tffilin or know of someone who does, please send

- Emunah
Rehovot. If you haven’t done so there is still time
to place your New Year’s Greeting with your name/s in the list
which will be sent out on September 1st 2021 IYH. Cost is NIS
25, which you can enhance by being a Patron for NIS 100 and
you can also pay your dues and give a donation to our Food
Drive for the underprivileged families in the Ma’anot we
financially help, especially for Rosh Hashana. Please email

Last week's Basement:
- Movie
starring Bermans members. Pesifas, the Berman shul
outreach project to the general (non-dati) public, has a
managing body made up of an equal number of religious and
non-religious members. Last year, as a new initiative to help
children from needy families during the COVID pandemic,
Pesifas members helped raise money for schoolbags (tik lecol
yeled), and then for refurbishing computers to allow remote
learning. We made a movie describing this effort, Hatikun
Hagadol Hamemuchshav, which will be shown on Channel 98, the
public TV cable channel. The movie was produced by and
