• Personal safety course. How do we teach our children to be careful without scaring them? Is the rule we learned as kids "Don't speak to strangers" still relevant? What tools can we provide to our teens - boys & girls to help them stay safe? Join us for an interactive Zoom workshop on Personal Safety: Becoming a Safe Family with Berman's own Jill Shames MSW, World-Class Self-Defense/Personal Safety Instructor, on Monday 28th June 20:30-21:45. I’m a rising junior at the Bronx High School of Science. I speak functional Hebrew and Russian, am on the track team, and am President of our Jewish Students Union. I have experience as a camp counselor, baby sitter, and leading youth groups at synagogue. I can cover the costs of food & board. I also can help with light child care and developing English language skills, outside of my work hours. I am happy to share a room, sleep on couches, etc, as long as I have some place to sleep.
