Security update:
There is a very large underground bomb shelter directly
behind the Shul. In case of siren, use emergency exit through
men's bathroom or exit on left side of the Aron. Once you enter
the shelter, quickly go down flight of stairs and go as far back
as possible in the shelter. If you have difficulty with stairs,
safest area is in the back room of the shul (not near the glass
doors).

Front of shul will operate on green pass standards
(vaccinated/recovered); the balcony (women) / back of shul (men)
are purple badge zones- open to all including those who are not
vaccinated nor recovered. Those women who prefer may sit outside
by the side door. Please obey proper donning of masks

- R' Arye
Frimer's shiur on Tefilla will not take place this
Shabbat, and will IY'H resume Shabbat Parashat Naso, May 22nd.
- The
upcoming AGM has been delayed until mid-June. The
exact date will be announced in next week's bulletin. Please
relay any topics you would like discussed to president@bermanshul.org

Rehovot Presents via ZOOM, Wednesday, May 26,
19:30, a talk by Ben Lynfield on “Najib Mahfouz and
Arab-Israel Peace.” Najib Mahfouz received the Nobel Prize for
literature in 1988. In addition to being a prolific Egyptian
author, he advocated peace with Israel in 1967 and spearheaded
intellectual support for Sadat's peace initiative. Ben
Lynfield is the former Middle East affairs reporter at the
Jerusalem Post, and he covered Israel and the West Bank for
several foreign publications. He interviewed the Nobel
Laureate in Cairo, and he will discuss the laureate's openness
to Israel. Cost: ESRA Members NIS 25; Non-members NIS 35.
