Bar/Bat Mitzva:

• Mazal Tov to Tamar and Eran Huberman on the Bar Mitzva of their son Yoav, last week, Parashat Vayigash. The Simcha was marked in a small family celebration due to Corona.

• Mazel Tov to Judy and R' Shmuel Davidovics on the Bar Mitzva of their grandson Rafael Mordechai, son of their children Noam and Deena Davidovics of Memphis Tennessee.

SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

• Lecture by Naama Galil, senior lecturer and project director at Yad Vashem. Naama will be giving a lecture in Hebrew on the topic of "Behind the scenes at Yad Vashem's efforts in information gathering along with related stories". • Final reminder Membership renewal: All members should have received at least one email about registering to renew membership for 5781, and most have done so. For administrative reasons we have set a deadline of 31-December-2020, after which those who have not renewed their membership will be removed from the list of members and their their membership privileges will cease (see explanations in www.bermanshul.org/noticeboard). If you still need to register, please do so now via www.bermanshul.org/rhform (same link can be used to restore membership post-deadline). If you are unsure of your membership status please contact directory@bermanshul.org. Those who have already registered but did not yet pay, please help us by finalizing your payment as soon as possible.

• Reminder re: Young children attending services – If you bring young children with you to shul, kindly remember to keep them close to you and do not allow them to run around. It is distracting for attendees, and if you allow them to play in the playground area, the noise makes it very difficult for those under the pergola to hear the davening.
• HYPAL is back! Horim, Yeladim, Pizza and Learning (HYPAL)- Every Sat. night from 18:15 to 19:15, weather permitting, in the amphitheater outside the shul. Pizza this week is sponsored by Chevi and Ramy Rubin. Future sponsors are welcomed and encouraged. For last-minute updates, please join the HYPAL whatsapp group. All ages are welcome. Family units will need to maintain distance from each other, and masks are required per Ministry of Health regulations. Please bring your own books or study materials.
• ערב הורים, ילדים, פיצה, ולימוד יתקיים (אם אין גשם) במוצאי שבת מחוץ לבית הכנסת (באזור הפרגולה, פלאזה ואמפיתיאטרון), בין 18:15-19:15. פיצה השבוע בחסות יוכבד ורמי רובין. תורמים לשבועות הבאים מבורכים ומוזמנים. לעדכונים ברגע האחרון נא להצטרף לקבוצת הוואטסאפ. ערב הלימוד מיועד לכל הגילאים. משפחות צריכות לשמור מרחק אחת מן השניה, וחבישת מסיכות חובה בהתאם להנחיות משרד הבריאות. יש להצטייד בספרים מהבית.
• Berman's kiddush substitute discussion group (moderated by Stephen Simpson) invites you to its weekly meeting on Zoom every Wednesday at 20:00. The topic will be announced in the calendar and on Facebook a day or two before. The Zoom link and the topic for discussion will regularly appear on the live calendar.
