- Halacha guides:
Like the High Holidays, Sukkot is a period rich with mitzvot,
custom and ritual, personal and communal. This year, in order to
minimize the possibility of Corona contagion and to allow for
social distancing, davening has moved outside the main building
to the area of the amphitheater. Heat considerations and a
desire to minimize the duration of physical contact in Shul,
have generated a need to shorten the duration of the Sukkot
Davening and maintain Social distancing. The Halakha Committee
of the Shul has drawn up guidelines to facilitate this goal –
which will be implemented over the Sukkot Holiday.
Communal Issues and Guidelines for Shortening the Sukkot
Davening 5781 (2020). Read/download here.
On a personal level, many find the plethora of Mitzvot and rich
details of the Sukkot Holiday challenging. In addition, because
of Covid-19, many individuals have chosen to pray completely or
partially be-yehidut (in the absence of a minyan). To this end,
Rabbi Aryeh Frimer has drafted the guides below which will
hopefully assist congregants in navigating through the various
issues. A Sukkot 5781 Corona Guide to Public and
Private Prayer and Ritual. Read/download here
Questions stemming from any of these documents may be referred
to Rabbi Frimer at the following email address: Aryeh.Frimer@biu.ac.il.

sweet taste of simchat Torah over the holidays. Please register
for your goody bag here: https://forms.gle/aFBX2dirZgJiDq8h8

enjoy a sweet Simchat Torah treat! There will also be a mini
