Ginnot Shomron, and new sister for Yishai and Leia.
Bar/Bat Mitzva:
- Mazal Tov to Aviva
and Shua Spotts on the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter
Tamar this past week. Mazal Tov to Tamar's
grandparents, Rena and David Goldish of Cleveland, OH. Tamar
celebrated with her immediate family at home and received
special surprises from friends and family, near and far. We look
forward to being able to celebrate with friends, extended family
and our beloved Berman family in the near future! Mazal Tov as
well to Sharyn, Adam and Yeshoshua Strauss on his Bar Mitzvah
this Shabbat.
- Mazal Tov to Sharyn
and Adam Strauss on the Bar Mitzvah of their son Yehoshua
Ariel. Mazal Tov to grandmother Barbara
Kaufman, and to grandmother Rivka Strauss. Yehoshua
started his celebrations with a very special dedication of a
Sefer Torah to the Berman shul in memory of his grandfather
Michael Kaufman (Sharyn's father and Barbara's husband).
Yehoshua and his grandfather share the same Bar Mitzvah parsha,
Beha'alotcha, and Yehoshua will be leining this Shabbat at the
outside Berman minyan from the Sefer Torah that was dedicated in
memory of his grandfather. We are lucky and happy to be able to
celebrate with our family, the extended Strauss family and our
Berman family. We also wish a warm Mazal Tov to the entire
Spotts family, and look forward to celebrating many Smachot
together.

SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS
תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת
- The
Berman shul has adopted a set of rules for participation in
prayer, whether inside or outside of our building,
based on current emergency regulations, national health orders,
and mandatory Ministry of Health instructions applicable to shul
activities. These rules are not optional, and are meant to
protect you and everyone around you during your participation in
a shul activity.
Please be mindful that there are many older as well as higher
risk members who have a legitimate expectation that the most
basic of these rules – masks covering both mouth and nose and
minimum distances between persons – will be followed by all
members and their guests.
The shul has appointed several נאמני קורונה as the Ministry of
Health requires. If need be, they will remind you to please wear
a mask and maintain a distance from others, and will provide you
with a mask if you do not have one. This is their job, they are
doing it voluntarily to protect all of us. If you do not agree
with them, shul is not the place to start arguing with them over
the merits of rules set by law. Thank you for your cooperation
and understanding in these challenging times. The Board

- Thank
you. As we are hovering somewhere between normal, and
not-so-normal, this is a good opportunity to thank the tens of
people who are keeping the shul going under challenging and
ever-changing circumstances, all as volunteers, under Sidney's
able coordination. These include Gabbaim, Corona minyan
coordinators, and ushers (נאמני קורונה), and all those who work
behind the scenes to maintain as many of our activities as
possible.
- Thank
you- Shavuot. The Education Committee would like to
thank all those who prepared shiurim, those who participated and
also those who facilitated the lighting arrangements of the
all-night Shavuot learning, yishar kochachem.
- Kaddish.
Daniel Schwartz is available to say Kaddish on behalf
of people unable to come to shul. Please email Daniel at cantordbsesq@gmail.com
with the name of the person for whom you are saying Kaddish, and
he will do so at the morning minyan.
