- Virtual
paint party. Nina Brenner of Paint
Party Events Israel, will be teaching a creative and uplifting
virtual drawing class. No experience needed. All you need is a
pencil and paper! For ages 7+. Tentatively scheduled for Tuesday

- The
Zedaka Committee would like express their deep gratitude to
the Bermans’ Community for their overwhelming
response to this year’s Maot Hittim appeal. A record 125,000 ILS
was donated, and through your generosity many local families
received help before the chag. Thank you all, and it be a merit
to return to better times soon.
- Mutual
help. We are living through unprecedented times. We
are forced to self-isolate and are unable to see our friends,
family members, and loved ones, out of a need to protect
everyone's health and safety. Our shul had to close its doors,
which is extremely challenging and difficult given what a warm
and loving community we are blessed to be a part of. We might
not be able to physically see each other but that doesn't mean
that our community shouldn't stay connected during this lonely
time. Even just a short phone call once a day goes a long way in
keeping our community strong and united. If you would like to
connect with a shul member - whether it be with someone who is
around your age group, younger, or older, and possibly even
create a friendship in the process - please fill out this form and we will pair
you with a fellow shul member for daily chats and check-ins. In
addition, if you require more specific help, please contact hospitality@bermanshul.org

- Online
content. In an effort to make the time we’re all spending
in isolation both more meaningful and pass a little quicker, the
shul has undertaken to provide programming on a wide
variety of topics of interest. If you are interested
in giving a lecture/shiur/presentation, on any topic of
interest, our Zoom account will be made available on our
website. In addition, the Education Committee is looking for
someone to help with uploading and arranging in an easily
accessible way, recordings of many of the lectures given at
Berman shul and at the "Beit Midrash Letanach". If anyone has
the time, the willingness and the expertise to do any of the
above, please contact the Education Committee members, Mechael

Heimfeld- Yom Limud (via Zoom)- Once again this
year we plan on having our annual Yom Limud on erev last day
of Pesach. The speakers include Rav Bar Ilan, Rav David
Klein and Rav Meir Berkowitz. This year the shiurim will be

- Berman
members are invited to participate in a citywide
initiative, "Isolation without Loneliness." The
initiative is being organized by representatives of many
Rehovot organizations. Its goal is to reduce the sense of
personal and public helplessness in the face of the
Coronavirus epidemic by increasing community resilience,
social involvement and leadership in Rehovot, while
maintaining public health. Its mode of action is to create
an urban volunteer network where each person can play a role
in strengthening others and in responding to various needs,
such as food, medication, referral to relevant institutional
entities, and more. The initiative is based on the
activities of neighborhood coordinators (one for each of
Rehovot's 36 neighborhoods), apartment organizers (in each
neighborhood), and other volunteers. To participate in the

מוזמנים להשתתף ביוזמה כלל-עירונית, "בידוד ללא בדידות"
. היוזמה מאורגנת ע"י נציגים של ארגונים רבים בעיר. מטרת
היוזמה היא לצמצם את תחושת חוסר האונים האישית והציבורית נוכח
מגפת הקורונה על די הגברת החוסן הקהילתי, המעורבות החברתית
והמנהיגות בעיר תוך שמירה על בריאות הציבור. אופן הפעולה היא
יצירת רשת מתנדבים עירונית בה לכל אדם שבוחר בכך יש תפקיד
בחיזוק הזולת ובמתן מענה לצרכים שונים כמו מזון, תרופות, הפניה
לגורמים מוסדיים רלוונטיים, ועוד.. ארגון היוזמה מבוססת על
הפעילות של רכזי השכונות (אחד לכל 36 שכונות בעיר), רכזי בניין
