• We regret to announce the passing of Gila Wertheimer ז"ל, the sister of our member Mechael Kanovsky. The funeral took place in Jerusalem at 2am on the morning of Thursday November 28th. Mechael will be sitting shiva at home on Thursday evening and Friday morning (27-28 November), and Sunday though Wednesday next week (1-4 December). SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

• Shul survey of interest in youth activities. We are in the planning stages of implementing a comprehensive youth program for the children of our shul. Plans are in the early stages but we would like to gauge interest from our members in such a program. The implementation of this program may include hiring of a Youth Director, organizing separate groups for different age groups on Shabbat in closed classrooms, and other activities throughout the year. • שאלון לגבי תוכניות ילדים ונוער. אנחנו בשלבי תכנון של תוכנית מקיפה לנוער עבור הילדים של בית הכנסת. כרגע אנו בשלב ראשוני של התכנונים ונשמח לשמוע האם יש התעניינות לתוכנית כזאת בקרב חברי בית הכנסת. כחלק מיישום התוכנית ייתכן ונעסיק רכז נוער, נפצל את הילדים לפי קבוצות גיל, נרכז אותם בכיתות שונות ונקיים פעילויות שונות במהלך השנה. במידה ולא עניתם על השאלון שלנו עדיין נשמח שתעשו זאת. להלן לינק לשאלון בעברית https://forms.gle/TSgbBWYJQg4Ka6kg8 תודה!
• Save the date! Sunday night, December 22, the first night of Chanuka, there will be a candle lighting celebration with music, food, and activities for adults and kids. More details coming soon.
• Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Kislev JSK will be held on Dec 7th, Parashat Vayetzei. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Sunday, Dec 1st. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.
• קידוש משותף לימי זיכרון כסלו. הקידוש המשותף לציון ימי זיכרון (יארצייט) של חודש כסלו יתקיים בשבת פרשת ויצא 7 בדצמבר. אם ברצונך להשתתף נא ליצור קשר עם ג'וד בוגדנסקי (jbogdansky@gmail.com) לא יאוחר מיום ראשון, 1 בדצמבר. השתתפות: 150 ש'ח לכל שם. ג'וד מאשר קבלה לכל הודעת דוא"ל שהוא מקבל, אך היו מקרים שהודעות שנשלחו אליו לא התקבלו. אם לא קיבלתם מענה, אנא צרו עמו קשר שוב.
• Torah readers needed for many parshiot for 5780. To volunteer, please contact Shmulie Pineles for the main minyan, or Moshe Appel (looking especially for sefer shmot) for the Hashkama minyan. Volunteers through high school age are paid by the shul for their efforts.
