• Exceptional start times: Shabbat Chol Hamoed: Hashkama Minyan 6:10 AM; Mincha [shabbat afternoon] 17:45 (and NOT as written on calendar. The regular shiurim will not take place between Mincha and Maariv). Hoshana Rabba: Shacharit 6:30 AM; Simchat Torah: Hashkama 7:00 AM in the Beit Midrash; Main Minyan 7:30 AM. • שעות תפילה מיוחדות: שבת חול המועד- מניין ההשכמה – 06:10; מנחה שבת בצהריים 17:45; הושענא רבה – שחרית ב-06:30; שמחת תורה: השכמה ב-07:00 בבית המדרש; מניין מרכזי – 07:30. פרטים בלוח ה-PDF.
• Bermans Sukkah Hop- Shabbat Chol Hamoed 19/10 at 16:00-17:00. Parents and children are invited to tour the Sukkahs of our Bermans members, complete with snacks and a few words about the meaning of the Sukkot holiday. As this is a parent-child event which includes walking from house to house, parents are requested to remain with their children to ensure their safety, even for the oldest group of children. Groups will meet as listed below at 4 PM sharp:
  Ages 0-Kindergarten meet at בית הספר יסודי ניצני המדע and from there continue to the Bogdanskys (Prof. David Milstein 4), Greenwalds (Uri Zvi Greenberg 1A), and Berkowitzs (Sapir 45).
  Grades 1-3 meet at Berman shul and from there go to the Schanlers (enter from playground between Yaakov Berman 6 and 8), Misrachis (on grass in back of playground between Yaakov Berman 6 and 8), and Safers (Gorodeski 20, 4th floor).
  Grades 4-6 meet at Yeshivat Hadarom main gate and from there go to the Schwarzbaums (Hagra 7, behind building), Strausses (Haraz 5) and the Fausts (Hagra 1).
  The event will last approximately 45-60 minutes, and participants will walk home independently after visiting the last home on their tour.
• סבב סוכות שבת חול המועד. הורים וילדים מוזמנים לסייר בין הסוכות של חברי ברמן. הסיור כולל נשנושים ושיחה קצרה בנושא המשמעות של חג הסוכות. מאחר ואירוע זה של הורים וילדים כולל הליכה מבית לבית, ההורים מתבקשים להישאר עם ילדיהם כדי להבטיח את שלומם, גם כאשר מדובר בילדים הבוגרים יותר. הקבוצות תיפגשנה לפי הרשימה להלן בשעה 16:00 בדיוק.
  בשבת חול המועד סוכות ב-16:00 בדיוק, כדלקמן:
  גילאי 0 עד גן: ייפגשו בבית ספר ניצני המדע. משם ימשיכו לבית משפחת בוגדנסקי (פרופ' דוד מילשטיין 4), גרינוולד (אורי צבי גרינברג 1A), וברקוביץ (ספיר 45).
  גילאי כיתות א' עד ג': ייפגשו בבית כנסת ברמן. משם ימשיכו לסוכות של משפחות שנלר (דרך גן המשחקים בין יעקב ברמן 6 ו8), מזרחי (דרך גן המשחקים בין יעקב ברמן 6 ו8), וספר (גורודצקי 20 קומה 4).
  גילאי כיתות ד עד ה': ייפגשו בשער הראשי של ישיבת הדרום. משם ילכו לסוכות של משפחות שוורצבאום (הגר'א 7), שטראוס (הרא'ז 5), ופאוסט (הגר'א 1).
  האירוע יימשך כ-45 עד 60 דקות והמשתתפים יתפזרו לבתיהם לאחר הביקור בסוכה האחרונה בסיור. תודה וחג סוכות שמח!
• Thank yous for Sukkot. Thank you to the crew who built the shul Sukkah. Thank you as well to the co-ordinators, host families, and participating kids and their parents for their efforts in organizing the upcoming Sukkah hop. Finally, thank you to the kiddush staff who have been working overtime to feed hordes of hungry people day after day on shabbat and chag.
• תודות של סוכות: תודה לצוות המתנדבים שבנו את סוכת בית הכנסת/ תודה גם לג'אד בוגדנסקי, המשפחות המארחות, ולילדים וההורים על ארגון סבב הסוכות שיתקיים השבת. לבסוף, תודה לצוות הקידוש שעבד שעות נוספות על מנת להאכיל מסות של אנשים רעבים יום אחרי יום בימי שבת וחג.
• Aravot will be available for sale on Sunday (Hoshana Rabba) at the shul entrance.
• ערבות יימכרו ביום א' (הושענא רבה) בכניסת בית הכנסת.
• Women's Divrei Torah on Simchat Torah morning will take place (English by Judy Shanani and Hebrew by Lior Misrachi), during Kriyat Hatorah. We will walk to the Beit Midrash immediately after the first round of aliyot.
• דברי תורה לנשים בשמחת תורה. בבוקר שמחת תורה, נשמע שני דברי תורה (אחד בעברית ואחד באנגלית) בזמן שהגברים קוראים שוב (ושוב) את "וזאת הברכה". נלך לבית המדרש מיד לאחר סבב העליות הראשון.
• Simchat Torah Hashkama minyan potluck kiddush. Those attending Simchat Torah (Shmini Atzeret) morning Tefilot at the early (hashkama) minyan are asked to bring a solid or liquid edible contribution. Prepackaged only, please, in accordance with shul kashrut guidelines.
• המשתתפים בתפילות במניין השכמה בשמיני עצרת מתבקשים לתרום משקה או מזון לקידוש. אנא הקפידו על אוכל ארוז, בהתאם להנחיות הכשרות של בית הכנסת.
• Tishrei Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Tishrei JSK will be held on November 2, Parashat ,Noach. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Sunday October 27th. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.
• קידוש משותף לימי זיכרון תשרי. הקידוש המשותף לציון ימי זיכרון (יארצייט) של חודשים תשרי וחשון יתקיים בשבת פרשת נח 2 בנובמבר. אם ברצונך להשתתף נא ליצור קשר עם ג'וד בוגדנסקי (jbogdansky@gmail.com) לא יאוחר מיום ראשון, 27 אוקטובר. השתתפות: 150 ש'ח לכל שם. ג'וד מאשר קבלה לכל הודעת דוא"ל שהוא מקבל, אך היו מקרים שהודעות שנשלחו אליו לא התקבלו. אם לא קיבלתם מענה, אנא צרו עמו קשר שוב.
• Eitan Ronen's weekly shiur on Tuesdays at 20:30 continues. All are invited to join, newcomers and familiar faces. The current topic is "stories of David Hamelech".
