the Rehovot cemetery. It will be followed by Mincha.

SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS

- **Important**From the
treasurers. Many checks that have been received for
membership/seats have been incorrectly made out, and may cause
difficulty at the bank. Please make out checks to "מרכז קהילתי
[ע"ש יעקב] ברמן" or "[Jacob] Berman Community Center". Other
names, or adding "shul" or "synagogue" may cause the check to
be rejected by the bank.
- Jointly
Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Elul JSK will be
held on September 7th, Parashat Shoftim. To
participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com)
no later than this Sunday, Sept. 1st. Participation: 150 NIS
per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives;
if you do not hear back, please follow up.

- A
Blood drive will take place at the back of the
shul on September 1 from 17:30 - 22:00. There is a shortage of
blood, and all able-bodied people are asked to come and
donate.
- High
holiday seats. All members should have received a
personal email with information regarding High Holiday seat
reservations, and membership renewal. If you did not receive
the letter, please verify that your mail-box isn't full, and
check your Spam and Updates folders in case your email
mis-filed itself.
For non members and others who didn’t receive a personal
email, a generic copy of the letter may be found on the
Noticeboard, and the reservation form is
available here: https://www.bermanshul.org/rhform.
The form requests you to log in first if possible. For
existing members, your login ID is the email address we have
registered for you, even if you no longer use the account for
your email. Use the "forgot my password" if necessary - though
this will only work if you can still receive email to your
registered address. Even if you cannot log yourself in, your
spouse may still be able to log in and change your email
address and/or password. As a final resort, please request
help by email to webmaster@bermanshul.org. Those
wishing to join the shul, can preregister here: https://www.bermanshul.org/register.php
and then use their new ID to log in. You will be contacted to
complete the membership process.

Shabbat- Weekly shiurim before Mincha at Yeshivat

- The
Rehovot Kolel "Yad Brodman" trains avrechim
(young Torah scholars) after service in Zahal,
for positions in the Rabbinate and the religious court
system (Dayanut) in the spirit of Religious Zionism.
In parallel with their Torah studies, these avrechim have
for many years been contributing to the religious life in
our city in various educational capacities, including
contributing to the "Siach" flyer on Shabbat, serving as
school Rabbis, giving guest lectures and regular shiurim in
many local shuls. The Brodman Kolel deserves our support.
One-time or monthly tax deductible donations would be
greatly appreciated. Another recommended possibility is the
dedication of a full day of learning in commemoration of a
yahrzeit or for a refuah (180 shekel donation). To
contribute, send an email message with your intentions to
the kolel (yabr405@gmail.com)
along with your name and address. You will receive a
pre-paid envelope or "horaat keva" form. For commemoration
or refuah include the relevant information (names, dates)
and you will also receive a copy of the dedication notice.

- T.E.A.M.
English language program. Summer is coming to a
close. T.E.A.M. will recommence activities on 2nd September
at Chavayot Hamada Community Centre, Rehov Haim Sireni 52.
Opening lecture by Steve Hellman “The Sound of Silence” a
non- academic look at the language that singers, poets and
other artists have found to explore multiple layers of
meaning in the role of silence in troubled times. 9.30 am
for refreshments and socialising, and 10.30 am Lecture
commences. Every Monday Morning. Come join us. Admission 25
NIS.
