regret to announce the passing of Harry (Mordecai Aharon)
Epstein z”l, the father of our member Stevy Epstein.
The funeral took place on Monday, February 18, at the Eretz
HaChaim cemetery. Stevy will be sitting shiva with his sisters
in Jerusalem through Thursday morning, February 21. He will
return to Rehovot to sit shiva at home, Rehov Miller 11A/12,
from Thursday afternoon, February 21, through Sunday morning,
February 24. Stevy can be reached at 058-783-7436. Visiting
hours are from 9:30 – 13:30 and from 16:00 – 21:30. Davening
times are Shacharit: 6:15, Mincha: 17:20, Ma’ariv: 17:50.
Motzei Shabbat Maariv at 18:30. Stevy will be davening at

- We
regret to announce the passing of Sidney Shankman z”l, the
father of our member Ellen Shankman Wides. The
funeral took place on Monday evening, February 18 at the Eretz
HaChaim cemetery. Ellen is sitting shiva with her sister and
brother at her home, Weizmann 11/14, from Tuesday morning Feb.
19 until Thursday night at 20:00. She will
be catching the midnight flight on Thursday night to finish
the shiva (through Monday morning, Feb. 25) in her father’s
community of Silver Spring, Md. The number there is

First annual Berman Shul cholent cook-off. Sample
the best cholents from our home grown talent and vote on your
favorites. Offerings will include classic Eastern European,
Sephardi, GF, and vegetarian. When: Kiddush after shul on
March 2nd (Parashat Vayakhel). Kashrut for this event has been
coordinated with the Halacha Committee of the Shul. For more

week...and every winter Motzaei Shabbat. Horim,
Yeladim, Pizza and Learning (HYPAL) in the shul
library 20 minutes after Shabbat ends (starting this week at
6:30 PM). "Come for the pizza and prizes; stay for the
learning."

Decluttering and Downsizing can be a challenge at any age.
If you want to learn actionable tips and tricks on how to
conquer your clutter while reducing your waste, this lecture
is for you. Rebekah will cover her 10 rules of organization
and tips on how to minimize and reduce waste. She will speak
about why we hold on to things and how to let go. Rebekah
Saltzman holds a degree in fashion design from Parsons
School of Design, and for many years worked as a graphic
designer. Rebekah’s passion for the environment and helping
people improve their lives drove her to change careers and
