SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

• Sof Zman Kriat Shema. Because of the clock change from summer to winter-time, the later limit for saying Kriat shema in the morning is now ~08:39. Consequently, shul goers attending the main minyan may not have a chance to say Kriat shema with the Birchot kriat shema before that time. We therefore suggest that when saying "Shema" in Birchot hashachar, you say all three paragraphs, rather than just the first paragraph -Rav Yehezkel Babkoff.
• סוף זמן קריאת שמע: עקב המעבר לשעון חורף, סוף זמן קריאת שמע בבוקר הוא בסביבות השעה 08:39. לכן, ייתכן כי חברי הקהילה המתפללים במניין הראשי לא יספיקו לומר במועד קריאת שמע עם הברכות הקודמות לה. אי לכך, אנו מציעים לומר את כל שלוש הפסקאות של קריאת שמע כאשר אתם אומרים "שמע" בברכות השחר, ולא רק את הפסקה הראשונה. – הרב יחזקאל בבקוף
• Our annual "MIX IT UP!" Shabbatot - The Berman Community has been blessed again with many new families in the last year. To help everyone get to know each other, we are planning two consecutive special Shabbatot. This Shabbat (Nov. 3rd), the Kiddush will be sponsored by the shul in honor of our new members. We will also provide name tags for all members, which you may optionally affix to your clothing. The following Shabbat (Nov. 10th), Shabbat Toldot, we will be pairing families for a Shabbat meal. As part of this week's Kiddush, we will be posting Fun Facts about our new members. You can see them HERE and they will be taped up on the Pergola during Kiddush. GUESS which fact belongs to which family! Walk around and MIX IT UP! New members will have different color name tags so it will easier to find them.
• קהילתנו התברכה בשנים האחרונות בהרבה משפחות חדשות. כדי לעזור לכולם להכיר אלו את אלו אנו מתכננים שני אירועים בשתי שבתות ברצף. השבת (03.11) הקידוש יהיה בחסות בית הכנסת לכבוד החברים החדשים. באותה שבת יחלקו תגיות עם שמות חברי בית הכנסת שניתן יהיה להדביק על הבגד. בשבת הבאה שבת תולדות (10.11) אנו מחברים משפחות לארוחת שבת.
• David Drory is starting a new study group (the 8th) to learn טעמי המקרא for Berman boys in grades 5 and 6. To participate, please register with David by email: dvd258@gmail.com or by phone/WhatsApp 054-490-3856. The course will take place at his home, most probably on Tuesdays at 4 PM.

• Kislev Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Kislev JSK will be held on November 17th Parashat Vayetzei. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Sunday November 11th. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.
• קידוש משותף לימי זיכרון כסלו. הקידוש המשותף לציון ימי זיכרון (יארצייט) של חודש כסלו יתקיים בשבת פרשת ויצא 17 בנובמבר. אם ברצונך להשתתף נא ליצור קשר עם ג'וד בוגדנסקי (jbogdansky@gmail.com) לא יאוחר מיום ראשון, 11 בנובמבר. השתתפות: 150 ש'ח לכל שם. ג'וד מאשר קבלה לכל הודעת דוא"ל שהוא מקבל, אך היו מקרים שהודעות שנשלחו אליו לא התקבלו. אם לא קיבלתם מענה, אנא צרו עמו קשר שוב.
