Kiddush on Sukkot is also sponsored by the shul; as the shul Sukkah is not large enough to accommodate everyone at once, people are requested to recite or hear kiddush and eat quickly in the Sukkah, and then move to the pergola to socialize.

• Did you notice that "somebody" did a really nice job preparing the shul(s) for the holidays? Actually, it was an entire crew of somebodies. Thank you to the Gabbaim, Chazanim, Shlichei tzibbur, Torah readers, Shofar blowers, and choir, and to the behind the scenes people including the seating committees, computer/reservation/database people, president, treasurers, mechitza set up and take down helpers, air-conditioner checkers and setters, house committees, volunteer trash collectors (including Bermans kids) and break-fast cleaners, and everyone who contributed to the special atmosphere over the chagim. • האם שמתם לב ש"מישהו" עשה עבודה מדהימה בלהכין את בית הכנסת (על כל אולמותיו) לקראת חגי תשרי? האמת היא שזה היה צוות שלם של "מישהוים". תודה לגבאים, למארגני המניינים, לחזנים, לשליחי הציבור ולקוראי התורה, לתוקעים בשופר, ולמקהלה, ולאנשים ונשים מאחורי הקלעים: וועדות ההושבה, לאנשי המחשבים/ההזמנות/מאגרי הנתונים, ליושב ראש, לגזברים, למי שסייע בהרמת ופירוק המחיצה, לכל מי שווידא שהמזגנים מופעלים ותכנן את שעוני השבת ואת הטמפרטורה, עוזרים לכיבוד שבירת הצום, וועדות הבית, ולכל מי שתרם לאווירה המיוחדת של ברמן במהלך החגים.
• **TOMORROW and SUNDAY !!** Come help build the shul Sukkah tomorrow, Friday September 21 at 8:00 AM. In addition, parents are invited to bring their children on Sunday morning (September 23) at 09:30 to decorate the Sukkah. The Social Committee will provide some supplies and families are welcome to bring their own decorations.
• **מחר ויום ראשון!!** כולם מוזמנים לעזור לבנות את סוכת בית הכנסת, מחר, יום ששי 21.9 בשעה 8:00. הורים מוזמנים להגיע עם ילדים ביום ראשון (23 לספטמבר) בשעה 09:30 לקשט את הסוכה. ועד התרבות יביא ציוד וכל משפחה גם מוזמנת להביא קישוטים שלה.
• Bermans Sukkah Hop- First day chag, Monday 4 PM. Parents and children are invited to tour the sukkahs of our Bermans members, complete with snacks and a few words about the meaning of the Sukkot holiday. As this is a parent-child event which includes walking from house to house, parents are requested to remain with their children to ensure their safety, even for the oldest group of children. Groups will meet as listed below at 4 PM sharp:
  Ages 0-Kindergarten meet at בית הספר יסודי ניצני המדע. Thank you to the Greenwald, Pearlman, and Berkowitz families for hosting!
  Grades 1-3 meet at Bermans Shul. Thank you to the Schwarzbaum, Strauss, and Golan families for hosting!
  Grades 4-5 meet outside the Co-Op Shop. Thank you to the Rosenfeld, Kronengold, and Fass families for hosting!
  The event will last approximately 45-60 minutes and participants will walk home independently after visiting the last house on their tour.
• סבב סוכות. הורים וילדים מוזמנים לעשות סיור בין סוכות חברי קהילת ברמן. הסיור כולל נשנושים וכמה מילים קצרות על מהות חג הסוכות. האירוע מיועד להורים ולילדים וכולל הליכה מבית לבית. כמו כן, הורים מתבקשים להישאר עם ילדיהם על מנת לוודא את בטיחותם, לרבות ילדים גדולים יותר. הקבוצות ייפגשו ביום ב' הקרוב (חג ראשון סוכות) ב-16:00 בדיוק, כדלקמן:
  גילאי 0 עד גן: ייפגשו בבית ספר ניצני המדע. תודה למשפחת גרינוולד, פרלמן, וברקוביץ על האירוח.
  גילאי כיתות א' עד ג': ייפגשו בבית כנסת ברמן. תודה למשפחת שוורצבאום, שטראוס, וגולן על האירוח.
  גילאי כיתות ד עד ה': ייפגשו מחוץ לקו-אופ שופ ברח' גורודסקי. תודה למשפחת רוזנפלד, קרוננגולד, ופאס על האירוח.
  האירוע יימשך כ-45 עד 60 דקות והמשתתפים יתפזרו לבתיהם לאחר הביקור בבית (סוכה) האחרון בסיור. תודה וחג סוכות שמח!
• The early Friday night minyan has gone into hibernation until Spring. Starting this week, there will be a single minyan for Kabbalat Shabbat, with mincha starting 10 minutes after candle lighting (see pdf calendar for exact times).
• המניין המוקדם של יום ו' בערב (קבלת שבת מוקדמת) נכנס לפגרה עד לאביב הבא. החל מהשבוע, יהיה מניין אחד בלבד לקבלת שבת. מנחה תתחיל 10 דקות לאחר זמן הדלקת נרות (השעות המדויקות מופיעות בלוח ה-PDF).
