• We regret to announce the passing of Riva Marder z”l, the mother of our member Jonathan Marder. The funeral took place today, Thursday, August 16th, in the UK, and the entire shiva (through Wednesday morning, August 22nd), will also be held there. • High holidays. Deadline for reservations is just over a week away- Aug 24th!! All members should have received a personal email with information regarding High Holiday seat reservations, and membership renewal. If you did not receive it, please follow this link to verify that we have your correct email address. A copy of the letter may be found on the Noticeboard. Reservations are made on line; please note payment options and deadlines. Links to the seat reservation form, and many other useful links may be found on our homepage at www.bermanshul.org.

• Blood drive on Sunday August 26th between 17:30 and 22:00 in the shul's library. Men and women over the age of 17 are encouraged to donate blood. Please bring a picture ID. Information about donating blood in general (Hebrew only) from Magen David Adom is available on the Noticeboard. This is your chance to participate in the mitzva of saving a life. Please forward this information to friends who might be interested in donating as well.
• Teenagers needed to set up and clean up the weekly kiddush (on a rotating basis). If you are interested in working (for pay), please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com).

• The Tanach shiur (Shabbat afternoon between mincha and Maariv) taught by Mechael Kanovsky started Sefer Iyov last Shabbat. All are welcome.

• A letter thanking the community for the support shown to participants in the Netiv geirut program over the course of this past year is available on the Noticeboard.
• Volunteers needed to give Divrei Torah for parshiot in Sefer Bereshit. Reserve now, while a wide choice of parshiot still remains. Please contact Mechael Kanovsky.
