SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS תזכורות, אירועים ופעילויות של בית הכנסת

• Chol Hamoed bulletin is planned to go out on WEDNESDAY April 4th. Deadline for announcements, late Tuesday night.
• Please do not drop off any more Chametz sale forms. As previously announced, the deadline was yesterday (Wednesday) morning, and Jerry has already brought all the forms to the Rabbanut. Anyone still needing to sell their Chametz, should go to the Rabbanut on their own, or use any of the on-line options listed below.
• Exceptional minyan start times: Shabbat/Pesach morning- 6:45 and 8:45. There will be an early minyan Friday evening at 17:30 (in addition to the "regular" one at 18:48), but kiddush of the Seder may not be recited before 19:20.
• Chaya Tannor z"l memorial lecture. On Monday April 9 (24 Nisan) at 20:00 we will have the first annual lecture in memory of our beloved member, Chaya Levmore Tannor z”l. The speaker will be the well-known author and lecturer, Dr. Avivah Zornberg, on ‘And I am a Stranger:’ Becoming Ruth. On that evening there will be a dedication of the renovated Beit Midrash in the back of the shul in Chaya’s memory.
• הרצאה לזכר חיה טנור ז'ל. ב-9 באפריל (כ"ד בניסן) נקיים הרצאה ראשונה (באנגלית) לזכר חברתנו האהובה, חיה לבמור טנור ז"ל. הדוברת היא הסופרת הידועה ד"ר אביבה זומברג, בנושא "אני זרה: להיות רות". בערב זה נקדיש את בית המדרש המשופץ בחלקו האחורי של בית הכנסת לזכרה של חיה.
• **Save the date!!** Bermans Yom Haatzmaut bash. Wednesday evening April 18th, starting immediately after Maariv (approx 20:00). Program will include song (Shira Betzibur), dancing, and delicious food. Details to follow.
• יום העצמאות. ב 18.4, אור לד' אייר תתקיים חגיגה קהילתית לציון 70 שנה למדינת ישראל. הפעילות תתחיל מיד אחרי התפילה (בסביבות 20:00). מה בתוכנית? שירה בציבור, הרקדה ואוכל כיד המלך. שריינו את התאריך!

  Some of the important highlights from the CRC Guide are as follows:
  - All pill medication (with or without chametz) that one swallows is permitted without special hashgacha. Vitamins and Food supplements do not necessarily fall under this category.
  - Liquid and chewable medications that contain kitniyot are permitted for one who is ill.
  - All varieties of body soaps, shampoos and stick deodorants are permitted for use on Pesach regardless of its ingredients.
  - All types of ointments, creams, nail polish, hand lotions, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, foot and face powders, and ink and paint may be used regardless of its ingredients.
  - Lipstick, mouthwash and toothpaste which contain Chametz should not be used
  -Cosmetic products produced in the USA do not contain grain alcohol.
• Volunteers needed to give Divrei Torah for parshiot in Sefer Vayikra. Reserve now, while a wide choice of parshiot still remains. Please contact Mechael Kanovsky.

• Torah readers needed for parshiot in Sefer Vayikra, Bamidbar, and Devarim. To volunteer, please contact Rami Shaanani for the main minyan (only Balak remains), or Moshe Appel for the Hashkama minyan. If anyone is planning a simcha at which they wish to read some or all of the parasha, please also notify Rami well in advance (though he can't promise to accommodate all requests).
