• We regret to announce the passing of Ruth Goldberg z”l, the mother of our former member Donna Goldberg. The funeral took place on Tuesday, 26.9 in Texas. Donna will be returning to Israel for a short shiva, from 12:00 on Thursday, 28.9 through Friday afternoon, 30.9, at 56b Palmach Street in Jerusalem. Yom Kippur:

• **TONIGHT** Yom Kippur set up for BM and Hashkama minyanim. Volunteers needed to help set up the rooms for the Beit Midrash and Hashkama minyanim for Yom Kippur on Thursday Sept 28th at 20:00, and to reset the rooms immediately after Havdala and break-fast on Motzaei Yom Kippur. Please remember that we are a single community and please come help (it will not take long), whichever minyan you plan to attend.
• **הערב**ארגון חדרי התפילה עבור מניין בית המדרש, ומניין ההשכמה. דרושים מתנדבים לעזור לארגן את החדרים עבור מניין בית המדרש, ומניין ההשכמה. ארגון החדרים ליום כיפור ב28/9 בשעה 20:00 ופירוק אחרי הבדלה במוצאי יום כיפור. אנא זכרו כי אנחנו קהילה אחת ובואו לעזור ללא תלות במניין שבו אתם מתכוונים להתפלל (זה לא יקח הרבה זמן).

• Strollers. As always, those attending the Main and Hashkama minyanim are asked to leave strollers outside the building. Strollers may be brought into the Beit Midrash minyan, but must be kept in the back of the room. All the venues are wheelchair accessible with the exception of the Beit Midrash.
• עגלות. כמו תמיד, מתפללים שמגיעים למניין המרכזי ולהשכמה מתבקשים להשאיר את העגלות מחוץ למבנה. ניתן להכניס עגלות למניין בית המדרש, אך יש להשאירן בחלקו האחורי של החדר. כל המתחמים נגישים לכיסאות גלגלים, למעט בית המדרש.
• Please bring your own machzorim to all the minyanim, as the shul has only a very limited number available.
• אנא הביאו עמכם מחזורים לכל המניינים, שכן בבית הכנסת מלאי מוגבל בלבד.
• Note that seating assignments within your chosen minyan for Yom Kippur may be different from Rosh Hashana, so please check the seating map to find your seat.

• There will be the usual break-fast at the conclusion of Yom Kippur. Please wait for Havdala, which will be recited at each of the minyanim following Maariv.

• From the treasurers. We received a ₪500 direct bank transfer from Bank Leumi, branch 930 Rehovot, on 20/09/17. We require the full name, address and telephone number of the person who sent it, and the purpose of the deposit. If the person who sent it reads this, please send an e-mail to accounts@bermanshul.org with the relevant information.

..and beyond:

• Sukkot. The shul will have a communal sukkah this year. It will be built beginning Sunday morning (1 Oct) at 7:00am. The sukkah will be open to the public and is expected to be about 4 meters by 4 meters. Children will be invited to decorate it on Wednesday. Those interested in participating in building or decorating of the Sukkah should come to the shul on Sunday morning, or contact Jacob Silvermetz (054-600-7778) for more details.
• סוכות השנה, בית הכנסת יקים סוכה קהילתית. בניית הסוכה תתבצע אי"ה ביום א' (ה-1 באוקטובר) החל מהשעה 07:00. הסוכה תהיה פתוחה לציבור ותהיה בערך 4 מטר על 4 מטר. ילדים ונוער המעוניינים לקשת את הסוכה מוזמנים לעשות כן ביום ד'. מי שמעוניין להתנדב ולהשתתף בבניית וקישוט הסוכה מתבקש להגיע לבית הכנסת ביום א' בבוקר או ליצור קשר עם ג׳ייקוב סילברמץ (054-600-7778) לפרטים נוספים.
• Volunteers needed to give Divrei Torah for parshiot in Sefer Beresheit. Please contact Mechael Kanovsky.
