SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS
- Lecture
[in Hebrew]. Sunday, the tenth of Tevet (Jan 8th)
designated by the Chief Rabbinate as the Holocaust Remembrance
day or Yom Hakadish Haclali. Naama Galil will lecture in
Hebrew on "Extracting their features"- The individual's image
in the Holocaust. Naama is a historian, and was in charge of
renovating the Yad Vashem exhibits; her previous lecture at
Bermans was very well received. Maariv at 19:50, lecture at

הקדיש הכללי העשירי בטבת, הנכם מוזמנים להרצאה מאת
נעמה גליל מרצה בכירה ומנהלת פרויקטים באגף הנצחה וקשרי קהילה
ביד ושם, שתרצה בעברית על הנושא: "לחלץ תווי פניהם- דמותו של
היחיד בשואה". נעמה גליל היסטוריונית העוסקת בתחקירים היסטוריים
בתקופת השואה, והייתה חלק מצוות ההיסטוריונים שעסק בהקמתו של
המוזיאון החדש לתולדות השואה שנבנה ביד ושם. יום ראשון, י' טבת,
8 לינואר 2017. מעריב: 19:50 הרצאה: 20:00.
- Lost
and Found (mainly found). Several kids' coats were
left on the steps near the pergola last Shabbat. The owners
(or their parents) are asked to come claim them. They are
hanging on the hooks opposite the bathrooms.

- Urgently
looking for families to host (with or without
sleeping arrangements) couples or single people who are in the
process of converting to Judaism. The goal is to help them
experience an Orthodox Shabbat and assist them during Tefila

– Opening Meeting of 2017 at the Pfeffers, 2/7 Hankin,
Rehovot. Welcome the Menahelet of the Gan Yavne and Gedera
Maonot who will give a presentation about the Maonot. Bring
your grandchildrens/great grandchildrens’ outgrown clothing,
shoes, boots, toys, blankets which must be in GOOD CONDITION
so that we can donate these items to the Maonot for which we
work so tirelessly to raise funds. If you pay your dues of
NIS 60 for 2017 at this meeting you won’t have to pay entry
of NIS 10 members/NIS 15 non membersץ
- ESRA
Rehovot-area Chapter tiyyul: Tour of the Nesher
Cement Factory, and tour and wine tasting (kosher) at the
Domaine Herzberg Boutique Winery, Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Bus departs at 8:30 in front of Havayot Shveitz for English
tour of Nesher factory followed by Winery in Moshav Sitriya.
Opportunity to prune vines followed by wine tasting with
cheese and crackers. Return to Rehovot at about 13:30.

- Looking
for families to host teenage youth, from
English-speaking countries, for specific Shabbatot and
holidays; the dates are determined in advance. These young
people participate in an educational program, called
Na'aleh, which combines high-school study with experiences
geared to help them eventually integrate into Israeli
society as olim. The program is based in Ayanot, a youth
