SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS​ ​

• **Next week!! Please register to participate by Monday, Nov 28th** Our annual "MIX IT UP!" Shabbatot - The Berman Community has been blessed with many new families in the last several years. To help the veteran members (“vatikim”) and newcomers get to know each other, we are planning two consecutive special Shabbatot. On Shabbat Toldot (Dec. 3), we will be pairing new families with vatikim for Shabbat lunch. Newcomers who are interested in being invited and vatikim who are interested in hosting (or vice versa) please email hospitality@bermanshul.org. We will attempt to match families by neighborhood, occupation and/or country/city of origin. The following Shabbat (Dec. 10), Shabbat Vayeitzai, the Kiddush will be sponsored by the shul in honor of our new members. On that Shabbat, we are also planning to have name tags prepared for all members, which you may optionally affix to your clothing upon exiting to the kiddush. Non-Berman members are invited to receive a name tag by registering here. We are looking for volunteers to help with the preparations for the two Shabbatot. Anyone who works in Israel (salaried or self-employed) and pays Israel income tax, is reminded that contributions to Bermans shul and other recognized 46א charitable institutions are eligible for a 35% calendar-year-based credit against their Israeli income.
