Minyan on Simchat Torah will start at 10:00 AM.
- Succah
hospitality. Anyone in need of an invitation for
Shabbat Chol Hamoed meals in a Sukka and anyone willing to
host, please contact the Hospitality
Committee
- Aravot
will be available for sale on Sunday (Hoshana
Rabba) at the shul entrance; cost is 5 shekels for a bunch of
five aravot, with proceeds to the shul. The Yeshivat Hadarom parking
lot will be open Sunday morning for Shacharit
minyan.
- As in the
past, on Simchat Torah, during the men's
repetitive reading of Vezot Habracha (after the first round),
there will be two Divrei Torah by women for women,
one in English (by Tamar Wides) and one in
Hebrew (by Avital Beer) in the Yeshiva Beit
Midrash (one flight up where the Beit Midrash Minyan davened
on RH and YK).
- From
the Hashkama minyan: The bigger and better "Third Annual
Potluck Qiddush" outside the Beit Midrash. Let's
make our qiddush the envy of the community. All consumables
complying with the shul's kashrut policy will be welcomed
(other than meat products, sorry no beef jerky). Help feed the
hungry masses, and bring your favorite solid or liquid carbs,
fish (cut up to bite size pisces), fruits, chocolates or nuts.
Packaged items only. In addition, there will be an "early"
minyan on Simchat Torah night (i.e. Sunday night)
in the Beit Midrash. Same start time as the main minyan
(17:48), but more concentrated Hakafot and earlier end (no
kiddush in the evening). For more information- Mechael

- Kiddushim.
Thank you to Miri Pomerantz, who just
completed her term as young kiddush manager, for doing a great
job, and always with a smile. Best of luck to Yitzchak
Kanovsky who is replacing her. For all
reservations, questions, etc, the board member in charge of
kiddushim remains Judd Bogdansky.
- Short chug
for young elementary age (from age 7) kids to learn
to lead Anaim Zemirot taught by Avital
Beer. Three sessions on Oct 29, Nov. 5, and Nov
12th, immediately after the Parashat HaShavua shiur on Shabbat

- New
morning kollel in "Mercaz Avraham" (Printz). A rich
program of varied and interesting Torah shiurim will be
presented on Sunday and Wednesday mornings, between the hours
of 9:30 and 12:30. Among the regular lecturers will be
Berman's own Rav Yehezkel Babkoff and Rav Mottie Goldreich.
