Bar/Bat Mitzva:
- Mazal tov to Ruth and
Mark Lavie on the Bat Mitzvah of their
granddaughter, Nitzan. Mazal tov to her
parents, Haggai and Miri Lavie, and to her four brothers and
sisters. The family celebrated the simcha in Jerusalem.
Army Induction- Tzahal:
- Bracha Ve'hatzlacha to Betzalel
Kanovsky upon his induction to Givati, and to Amichai
Goldreich who was inducted this week to the Kfir
brigade, and to Yonatan Eliraz who will
begin his service next week in the artillery (totchanim). We
wish them all a fulfilling service, and safe return home!

Bereavement and Memorial:
- We deeply regret to
announce the passing of our member Frank Colb, z"l,
the father of our member Sandy Colb, and the grandfather of
our members David Colb, Sarah Funkelstein, Yoni Colb and Eti
Colb-Uzana. The funeral took place on Monday, July 25, in
Jerusalem. Sandy will be sitting shiva through Monday morning,
August 1, at his home, 2 Sha'ar Hagai St, Rehovot. The number
there is 08-945-4603. Davening times are: Shacharit: 06:15,
Mincha: 19:30, Ma'ariv: 20:00. Friday Mincha 13:30. On Sunday
31.7: Mincha will be at 19:25 and Ma'ariv at 19:55.
- The azkara marking the
seventh yahrzeit of Rav Gershon Shain ז"ל will take
place on Wednesday, August 3rd (28 of Tammuz) at 6:00 p.m. We
will meet at the gravesite in the Rehovot cemetery, Shaar 5,

- The azkara for our dear
member Joanne Bodner (Feiga Rada) ז"ל will take
place Sunday, the July 31st (24th of Tamuz, 5776) at the
Rehovot Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at 18:30 at
the Rehovot cemetery entrance.
SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS
- High Holiday seats and
membership renewal. The Gabbaim and Board have
started to prepare for the High Holidays. The form for 5777
membership renewal and high holiday seat reservations can now
be accessed in a computer-fillable version on the Noticeboard.
Download the file, and then use Excel to complete and print.
Please cooperate by completing and returning the forms with
your check as soon as possible. If you have any

- The mini minyan is
seeking parent volunteers to lead t'efillah or give
a Dvar Torah in the months of July and August, on weeks when
our teenage leaders are on summer vacation. Parents are
welcome to lead the Tefillah and give their Dvar Torah in
English or Hebrew, in whichever language they are most

Amanda and Even, Yeshaya (5) and Tsofia (3) Goldstein!
The Goldstein’s made aliyah a year ago from Houston, Texas to
Yishuv Adam and have decided to make Rehovot their new home.
Evan is mechanical engineer who currently works in the field
of petrochemical refining. Amanda worked in the nonprofit
sector doing event planning, program management and marketing
