SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS
- Please do not drop off
any more Chametz sale forms. As previously
announced, the deadline was last night (Wednesday), and Jerry
has already brought all the forms to the Rabbanut. Anyone
still needing to sell their Chametz, should go to the Rabbanut
on their own, or use any of the on-line options listed below.
- Exceptional minyan
start times: Shabbat morning- 6:45 and 8:45. There
will be an early minyan Friday evening at 17:45 (in addition
to the "regular" one at 19:05), but kiddush of the Seder may
not be recited before 19:33.
- Maot Chittim - Last
Call. The tzeddaka Committee wishes to remind those
who have not yet sent their donations for Maot Chittim to do
so as soon as possible. Last year we were able to help more
than 300 families. Thanking you as always. Checks should be
marked "for the Tzeddaka Fund" can be given to any member of
the Tzeddaka Committee (Rebecca Krausz, Jerry Kriger, Rivka
Kronengold, Freida Sarfati-Ollech, or Sandy Sampson), or to
Larry Israel or Gerry Tanny.

Some of the important highlights from the CRC Guide
are as follows (taken from page 3 (fifth page in full booklet)):
*All pill medication (with or without chometz) that one
swallows is permitted without special hashgocha. Vitamins and
Food supplements do not necessarily fall under this category.
*All chewable pills that have kitniyot are permitted for one
who is ill.
*Liquid medications that contain kitniyot are permissible for
one who is ill.
*All varieties of body soaps, shampoos and stick deodorants
are permitted for use on Pesach regardless of their
ingredients.
*All types of ointments, creams, nail polish, hand lotions,
eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, foot and face powders,
and ink and paint may be used regardless of their ingredients.
