- We regret to announce
the passing of Rachel bat Zohara Dahan z”l, the mother of
our member Etty Grobgeld. The funeral took place on
Tuesday February 9th, in Hadera. Etty is sitting Shiva at her
mother's house: Rechov Hashushanim 5, Hadera. She may be

Hershkowitz’s 10th yahrtzeit will take place at the
Rehovot cemetery this coming Monday, February 15th, at 4:30
PM.
SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS
- Lecture by Dr Akiva
Sternberg (in Hebrew) on his new book "The Ancient
Traditionalists – Committed to Halacha, Yet Breaching its
Borders". On Sunday Feb 14th at Bermans.
Maariv 19:50, and lecture at 20:00. Dr. Sternberg's book will
be available for purchase for NIS 100. Proceeds to charity.

- This coming Shabbat
[Terumah], the Anim Zmirot Choir, under the
direction of Stephen Simpson, will be honored to participate
in the tefilla during Mussaf with a few short pieces. Please

- The Social Committee
welcomes new members: We are always looking for new
program ideas and people who want to make them happen. If
you’ve got a great idea for something we should do or just
want to offer to help out on someone else’s program, please

- Minutes of the Feb. 4th
board meeting are available in the Member Documents section (member login

- Last week another
group of pre-barmitzva boys completed the Berman chug
for ta'amei hamikra. Elnadav Brooks,
Gavriel Dobin and Eitan Faust will receive their
certificates this Shabbat. Yasher Koach and thank you
to David Drori who has taught the chug on a
volunteer basis for the last 7 cycles.

Berman Shul Parents of First Graders: We are

- Rehovot Anglo Hebrew
Readers meeting, Monday, February 15, 9:00. The
Rehovot Anglo Hebrew Readers meet at members' homes every
second Monday morning to read contemporary Hebrew texts. At
this meeting we will read a short story, Tzinorot by Etgar
Keret, and we will begin to read The Egyptian Novel by Orly
Castel-Bloom. Our goal is to help each other improve our
Hebrew-reading skills and to bring Hebrew literature to

- Dr. Yaakov Levine,
the eye doctor for many years at Meuchedet, passed away
from a very difficult illness only 2 weeks ago.
If anyone wants to write to the family for nichum aveilim
and/or in view of Hakarat haTov for his exceptionally
devoted medical work for the Rehovot community, the address

Dafna was also his secretary and was also extremely devoted
