Bereavement and Memorial:
- The azkarah marking the
19th yahrzeit of Rachel Garfinkel z"l and the 11th yahrzeit
of Lenny Garfinkel z"l will
take place at the Rehovot cemetery, IY"H, on Friday, 22
January 2016 (12 Shevat 5776) at 10 a.m. Their children and
extended family - both here and abroad - continue to be
touched and comforted by the community's loyalty to Rachel's
and Lenny's memories over all the years. Yehi zichram baruch.
The annual women's Kabbalat Shabbat in Rachel's memory will be
scheduled at a later date.

soliciting names of outstanding architects or

- Save the Date. The
Berman Shul and AMIT Chug Rehovot join to invite you to a
fascinating lecture and visual presentation in
English: "Inscriptions on the Temple Mount--Eyewitness to
Jewish History." Join us to see history come alive with
Professor Jonathan Price, Tel Aviv University. Sunday, February 7, 2016 at
Bermans. Professor Price, a specialist in the history
of the Jews and the Roman empire, as well as synagogue
inscriptions, earned his MA and PhD from Princeton University
(See flyer on the Noticeboard).
- Miniminyan is back!
All 4-6 year olds (and their parents) are invited to
participate in the new miniminyan program that will take place
in the Bet-midrash. We will start at 9:45 with Tefilila,
stories, and games, and end with a kids' Kiddush.

- Looking for
new voices. The choir is currently rehearsing for a
participation in our tefillot in a few weeks time and would be
happy to accept new (male) members - even those with no

- Torah readers needed for
Sefer Vayikra. To volunteer, please contact Rami Shanani. And a
request from Rami: The list of Tora readers is hanging on the
bulletin board at the entrance to the shul. To prevent
misunderstandings or scheduling glitches, anyone who is slated
to read should confirm by checking the list that they are
correctly assigned, and anyone who is planning a simcha at
which a family member would like to read, is asked to book
their event as early as possible by contacting Jerry Kriger.

Rehovot Anglo Hebrew Readers meet at members' homes Monday
mornings, every second week to read contemporary Hebrew
texts. We are currently reading Etgar Keret's book of short
stories, Tzinorot. Our goal is to help each other improve
our Hebrew-reading skills and to bring Hebrew literature to
