a daughter to their children Tzila and Tzuri Bublil of
Jerusalem. Mazal tov as well to grandparents Tammy and Moshe
Bublil of Petach Tikva, and to the entire family.

Marty Herskovitz on the birth of a granddaughter,
Alma, a daughter to their children Yael Statman and
Yaakov Herskovitz.

- Mazal Tov to Susie and
David Dym on the birth of a grandson,
a son to their children Reut and Gilad Dym. Mazal Tov as well
to great-grandparents Irene and Harry Dym,
and Ruth Segel, great aunt Orly Dym
and the entire family. The brit will be this Shabbat,
at Beit-Knesset Chatam. Shacharit at 8:15; brit at
10:15, immediately after the tefilla. The tefilla and brit
(and light kiddush) will all take place upstairs (about 45
steps) in the Chatam simcha hall, and NOT in the main
shul.
Bar/Bat Mitzva:
- Mazal tov to Racheli
and Shmulie Pineles on the Bar Mitzvah of their
son, Ari. Mazal Tov and welcome to
grandparents Freyda and Michael Pineles, and Chana and Yosef
Cattan. Mazal Tov to
sisters Leora, Tali, and Liat, and to Saba Mordechai
Yunger and all of Ari's aunts, uncles and cousins.
Engagements and wedding:
- Mazal Tov to Tirtza
and Dan Schindler on the marriage of their daughter
Bracha to David Mantinband,
son of Ophira and Joel Mantinband of Yitzhar.
Bereavement and Memorial:
- The Azkara marking the
first Yahrtzeit of our member Jerry Rosenfeld z'l will
take place on Friday morning, December 25th. at 9:00 AM, at
the graveside in the Rehovot cemetery.
- The Kanners thank the
community for its overwhelming support during their
shiva, especially - but not only - from the angels who
prepared so much delicious food. The only person not thanked
individually was the anonymous baker of the
gorgeous/scrumptious marble angel cake, deposited in the
kitchen when no one was there.
SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS
- The 2016 Annual General
Meeting (AGM) of the Bermans membership will be
held on Motzai Shabbat Bo, January 16, 2016 at 20:00. We are
looking for some new talent to join the Board. If you are
interested, please contact one of the members of the

- AMIT Mishloach Manot
Project. Now that Hanukkah is over, it’s time to
start thinking about Purim! We have an active AMIT Chug in
Rehovot, and our biggest fund-raiser is the Purim Mishloach
Manot Project, with about 250 families participating,
including many members of the Berman community. We have
begun preparing for Purim 2016. If you would like to join
our mishloach manot list, or if your contact
information/email address has changed since last year,
