- "MIX IT UP!"
The Berman Community has been blessed with many new families
in the last several years. To help the veteran members
(“vatikim”) and newcomers get to know each other, we are
planning two consecutive special Shabbatot.
On Shabbat Chayei Sara (Nov. 7), we will be pairing
new families with vatikim for Shabbat lunch.
Newcomers who are interested in being invited and vatikim who
are interested in hosting (or vice versa) should email hospitality@bermanshul.org.
We will attempt to match families by neighborhood, occupation
and/or country/city of origin. The following Shabbat (Nov.
14), Shabbat Toldot, the Kiddush
will be sponsored by the shul in honor of our new members.
On that Shabbat, we are also planning to have name tags prepared for
all members, which you may optionally affix to your clothing
upon exiting to the kiddush. Non-Berman members are invited to
receive a name tag by registering here.

אחרי זה, שבת תולדות
(14.11) הקידוש יהיה בחסות בית הכנסת לכבוד החברים החדשים.
