​Bereavement and memorial:

• We regret to announce the passing of Denise Saadoun z"l, the mother of our member Nicole Gamss. The funeral took place on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Nicole will be sitting shiva in her home Rehov Eisenberg 14/7 (second floor), through Tuesday morning, Feb. 17. The phone numbers are: 08-946-7718 or 052-622-3023. Our community wants to ensure that meals for those sitting shiva will be provided. Please check details at http://www.bermanshul.org/shiva, see what help is needed, and sign up to provide meals, so that we can ensure that this important mitzvah is fulfilled.

• The Berman's Community Melaveh Malka is coming soon! Who? EVERYONE! What? A fun, tasty, musical celebration! Where? The chadar ochel (lunchroom) of the yeshiva! Why? Because we want to! (And rosh chodesh Adar is a great excuse to celebrate). When? Sat, Feb 21st, at 19:30! How much? Ten shekels per person, or 40 for a family (of 4+). Leon Harris, Israeli CPA and a UK Chartered Accountant, head of Harris Consulting & Tax Ltd (HCAT), which provides accountancy, taxation and corporate finance services for companies, individuals, charities and trustees. Leon writes a weekly tax column in the Jerusalem Post, and other periodicals.

• Volunteer English>Hebrew translators needed. By popular request, we would like to inaugurate a Hebrew version of the weekly Berman's Bulletin. • Looking for a family (or several families) able to adopt a friendly male Anglo lone soldier. Mostly, this involves hosting him on alternate shabbatot and for pesach week (but he is already invited for the Seder), from now until the end of June. For info contact Chaya 0526991433.
