• Mazal Tov to Chumi and Dov Kanner on the birth of a granddaughter, a daughter to their children Noa and Elad Yitzhari of Jerusalem. Mazal Tov as well to grandparents Bruriah and Azariah Yitzhari, also of Jerusalem.

Bereavement and Memorial:

• We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Yetta Saffer z'l mother of our member Aviva Taragin Hexter. The funeral took place on Tuesday, Oct 14. Aviva will sit shiva after chag from Thursday night Oct 16 until Thursday morning Oct 23 at the Saffer home in Jerusalem, Rehov Diskin 9, Apt 10 (3rd floor). SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS:

• Shaharit on Simchat Torah is at 7:00 in the YHD Bet Midrash and at 7:30 in the Main Shul.

• The Cheshvan Yahrtzeit Jointly Sponsored Kiddush will be held on Shabbat, Parshat Toldot, Nov 22, 2014. The cost for participation is 150 NIS. If you would like to participate, please write Rachel Schecter no later than Sunday, Nov 9, 2014.  

HOSPITALITY - הכנסת אורחים The community wishes to know about new arrivals or people planning to come to Rehovot so that we can welcome them. You may send in their details for the weekly bulletin, to hospitality@bermanshul.org or to Chaya Tannor. As we learn from Avraham Avenu, please open your homes to our guests and newest arrivals. We would like to assist people in our community with their employment search, and help open doors by introducing them to other people in our community who currently work in their fields of specialty or have recently retired from those fields.

• Please send names (3 maximum) to gabbai@bermanshul.org (preferably by Thursday) or write them out and give to the Gabbaim before kriat hatora. Names must be resubmitted anew every week and will be read on the following Shabbat morning. This is intended for people with a acute health issues; if you would like a misheberach for somebody with a chronic illness, please recite the person's name by yourself during the prayer.
   
• If you are convalescing at home and would like visitors, please write in to bermanshul@gmail.com.
