Bereavement and Memorial:
The aliya lekever for our member Udi Gilai z'l
will take place on Sept 29 (5 Tishrei) at 16:30 at the Rehovot
cemetery, followed by an Azkara at 20:30 at Bermans.
SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS:
Rosh Hashana:
- Slichot this Saturday night Sept. 20th at 22:30. Please
bring your own slichot books as the shul does not have
enough.
- Additional Slichot on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights
(Sept. 21-23) at 22:30 (Maariv at 22:20).
- Additional Slichot on Saturday night Sept 27th and nightly
at 22:30, until Yom Kippur (Maariv at 22:20 Sunday -
Thursday).
- Please help set up the Beit Midrash (BM) and Hashkama
minyanim on Tuesday, September 23rd, at 20:00. All
three minyanim belong to the entire community, and setting up
the rooms should not be the exclusive responsibility of those
who chose to daven at these minyanim.
- Maariv on Rosh Hashana will be held in the main shul on
Wednesday and Thursday evenings. There are no reserved seats.
The balcony will be used for men's seating. The downstairs
women's section will be open as usual for women.
- Hashkama minyan will begin at 6:30 (note
correction of time versus calendar).
- Please bring machzorim to all three minyanim, as the shul
has only a very limited number available.
- Shofar will be blown outside the main shul (near the seminar
building) at exactly 12:00 noon for those who need to hear
shofar and cannot be inside. This is the only late shofar
blowing scheduled.
- Combined Kiddush will be held for all minyanim in the
pergola promptly after Main and BM minyamin finish.
- If you reserved seats and will not be using them for either
RH or YK, please send e-mail to Jerry Kriger so
that extra seats can be re-assigned.
- The Board, President and Gabbaim wish the entire community a

- This Friday Sept. 19 is the last early Shabbat minyan of
the season. Mincha promptly at 17:15. Please come on
time.
- Shmitta information mentioned in Rav Arye's shiur on
shabbat: The Otzar Haaretz website is located at:

- *SAVE THE DATE* The social committee is organizing a
tiyyul to the north on Thursday, October 30th.
Details will follow.
- The jointly sponsored Tishrei Yahrtzeit Kiddush will be
held on October 18, 2014 - Parshat Bereshit. If
you would like to participate, please contact Rachel
Schecter no later than October 7th, 2014.
- The next board meeting is scheduled for October 1,
2014 at 20:00.
