SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS:

• Blood drive next Thursday. The MDA in cooperation with Bermans will be holding a blood drive next Thursday (Aug. 28th, 2 Elul) at the shul between 17:30 and 21:00. Please bring your teudat zehut when you come to donate. Information (in Hebrew) regarding blood donation in Israel can be found here.

The official Bermans account is seen by several of us, and we back each other up in case one of us is unavailable. Deadline for all bulletin submissions is Wednesday afternoon, weekly.

Please return forms and payment by August 31st before the price goes up!

HOSPITALITY - הכנסת אורחים The community wishes to know about new arrivals or people planning to come to Rehovot so that we can welcome them. You may send in their details for the weekly bulletin, to hospitality@bermanshul.org or to Chaya Tannor. As we learn from Avraham Avenu, please open your homes to our guests and newest arrivals. MISHEBEIRACH LECHOLIM + BIKKUR CHOLIM - מישברך לחולים וביקור חולים  

• Please send names (3 maximum) to gabbai@bermanshul.org (preferably by Thursday) or write them out and give to the Gabbaim before kriat hatora. Names must be resubmitted anew every week and will be read on the following Shabbat morning. This is intended for people with a acute health issues; if you would like a misheberach for somebody with a chronic illness, please recite the person's name by yourself during the prayer.
   
• If you are convalescing at home and would like visitors, please write in to bermanshul@gmail.com.

We are looking for a family to rent our 4-room apartment, between now and August 2015.  The apartment is on the 7th floor in a quiet, airy area (Givat Hayekev) with beautiful views of the Weizmann Institute.  Central air conditioning, furnished living room and bedrooms, extra-large, stocked kitchen with 2 sinks, 2 separate counter tops and a service room.  Appliances such as fridge, dishwasher, drier, etc are in great condition.  We miss it a lot...The family must be serious about keeping kosher since we don’t want to kasher the kitchen when we return!
