As advertised last week in the "Personal & Basement section", the second printing of Shira Frimer's fantasy/adventure graphic novel NISTAR will be available this Chanukah. NISTAR's superhero challenges demons and villians, putting brave kids battling cancer, their siblings, and families, in a front line action role confronting evil. In Israel alone, there are 1400 children battling cancer and 500 new cases each year.

After supporting the first printing, the Board has decided to renew its support for this project and encourage members to provide donations through our amuta. Checks should be made out to: The Jacob Berman Community Center or מרכז קהילתי ע"ש יעקב ברמן  (POB 1146 Rehovot Israel 76111). Please specify that the donation is for the NISTAR project, the book for children with cancer.

• Sponsor a book for a child with cancer for 90 shekels (or $25).
• Give a book, get a book: Sponsor a book for a child with cancer and receive a copy for 180 NIS (or $50)
• Sponsor 3 copies for children with cancer (and receive a book) for 360 NIS (or $100)
• Sponsor 5 copies for children with cancer (and receive a book) for 540 NIS (or $150)
