  • Kiddush this week is sponsored by Avraham and Chasya Nudelman in honour of their grandsons, Alon on his release from Tzahal, and Tamir on completing basic training with distinction.

  • Mazal tov to Michelle Simpson and Stephen Simpson on the birth of a grandson, a first child for Michal and Danny Simpson of Rehovot. Mazal tov also to Michal's parents, Rona and Yoram Rimon of Rehovot, and to great grandmother Irene Simpson of Netanya.
       
  • The Anim Zmirot Male Voice Shul Choir, that has accompanied the tefilot at the Berman's shul on many occasions, is looking for new members. No major musical knowledge required. Youngsters also considered!
    Call Stephen Simpson (0505-827-115) for a quick chat and discover whether this could be a very rewarding, enjoyable and undemanding interest for you!
     
  • The shul Board will be meeting next Wednesday (21st November) at 20:15 in the shul library.The agenda will be posted at http://bermanshul.org/content/view/186/58/. Members with questions or issues to raise should contact any Board member.
     
  • A chug will be starting for teenage boys interested in learning to read Megillat Esther.

HOSPITALITY, COMINGS & GOINGS - הכנסת אורחים
The community wishes to know about new arrivals or people planning to come to Rehovot so that we can welcome them. You may send in their details for the weekly bulletin, to hospitality@bermanshul.org or to Chaya Tannor.

  • Yitzchak Dawidowicz, a former Gush student and YU graduate, age 23, is here for the year on a Rehovot-based volunteer program, which trains and places participants in a local school to help the pupils learn English. He's been davening at Bermans most Shabbat mornings, so you may have seen him around. He's very personable, well-read, a great conversationalist, etc. and would love to meet new people and families of all ages. He and his family are good friends of Dov and Chumi Kanner.   • Chugim and activities for all ages at Havayot Schweitz: Including 50+ coffee evenings, מועדון חצ"ב, Bridge for beginners, Tiyulim, etc.. For details and schedules see the Havayot Website (http://havayot.org.il).
  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • New olim in need of a metapelet (or surrogate savta) Mondays and Wednesdays from 5pm – 8:45pm to care for 3 young children, aged 6, 3, and 1.5. No car required. Additional hours can be discussed if there is interest. Please call 054-434-7603 to inquire.
