  • Membership Renewal and High Holidays 5773  חידוש חברות וימים נוראים תשע"ג
    The time has come to renew annual membership and arrange seating for the yamim nora’im. The letter and form have been placed on the shul website as a single  PDF document, which also includes a second form for you to use to provide personal information for our database (PDF link here). Both forms are also available as Excel documents (seatingform.xls and personal-info-form.xls ). As last year, the printed documents will not be mailed out and you are requested to please print out your own copy. Please consider printing extra copies for members you know who may not be able to print their own.
    Forms are due by 26th August. After that date we may not be able to accommodate your seating preference.
LOST & FOUND
This past Shabbat, Pearl Herskovitz took home by mistake a pair of eyeglasses from the shul lobby (the shelf by the bulletin board). They were done by the optometrist, Zvi Gelbart. The owner should please call Pearl at: 08 9370762 or 050 6264790 and Pearl will return them ASAP.

  • Welcome to the Reiss'! Devorah and Netanel moved to Rehovot a few weeks ago from Ramat Gan with their daughter Liat (21 mos). Devorah made aliyah six years ago from Chicago, Netanel is Israeli.   • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

We meet Monday mornings every two weeks for an hour of reading and discussion. At our September 3 meeting we will begin a new book, בין חברים (Bayn Haverim), by Amos Oz.   • Two-year old baby boy in Israel on dialysis need a kidney donation! If you are blood type O - please consider donating a kidney (adult kidney acceptable). To become a potential kidney donor, you should be between 25-70, generally healthy, ie.. no cancer, kidney stones, diabetes, high blood-pressure, & not too overweight. All expenses paid.
