  • Mazal tov to Honey and Yehuda Berenson on the birth of a greatgrandson born to Tsurit and Benayahu Mula of Eylon Moreh. Mazal tov to the grandparents Shlomit and Rav Nachum Berenson of Nahariya and Shosh and Rav Yitzchak Mula of Rechovot.

    The time has come to renew annual membership and arrange seating for the yamim nora’im. The letter and form have been placed on the shul website as a single  PDF document, which also includes a second form for you to use to provide personal information for our database (PDF link here). Both forms are also available as Excel documents (seatingform.xls and personal-info-form.xls ). As last year, the printed documents will not be mailed out and you are requested to please print out your own copy. Please consider printing extra copies for members you know who may not be able to print their own.
     
  • Berman Seniors' tiyul to Mercaz Shomron - (Friday 3rd August - ט"ו ב'אב) - the date has passed, but you can now enjoy it from the comfort of your armchair -

  • Yael and Michael Moss with their children Eliana (6), Even (3) and Yonatan (1) made aliyah from Cleveland. Yael is doing her post-doc at Weizmann in biology and Michael has a PhD in Judaism/humanities. They can be reached at yael.maoz@weizmann.ac.il or 0544347603.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • New family in Rehovot seeks afternoon babysitter . Please reply to Ayelet Duskis, info below
    I am looking for someone Monday to Thursday every afternoon from about 3 to 7, or 3:30 to 7:30. Its for three really cute little kids. An almost 5 year old girl, an almost 3 year old boy, and a 9 month old baby. No major housework included. Just cleaning up after the kids, bathing them and feeding them dinner.   • We are proud to announce that our granddaughter, Rachel and her husband, Oren Moskovits are performing a comical play in Rechovot concerning lack of communication between husband and wife. The production was written by Rachel and will be performed on Sunday, August 19 at Rechovot's Yad Lebanim. Tickets purchased ahead of time by calling 052-6558816 cost 55 shekalim, while the price of tickets bought at the door is 65 shekalim. The doors at Yad Lebanim open at 8:00 PM and the play will begin at 8:30. We will be happy to see you there, and please bring your friends. The audience is for women only.
