  • Mazal Tov to Molly and Heshi Bodner and the entire extended families on the birth of a son to Daniel and Shir Bodnerof Yad Binyamin. May they see lots of nachas and שיזכו לגדלו ולחנכו לתורה לחופה ולמעשים טובים

  • There will be an evening of Sheloshim for Julie Spetner A”H on Sunday 15 July at 20:15 at Bet Keneset Bet Azriel, 22 Shaulson, Har Nof, Jerusalem. Tefilat Maariv will be at 20:15.

  • Bermans "Seniors" (BBB) Tiyul on Friday, August 3rd (Tu b'Av), to Central Shomron - aimed primarily at the 55+ age group, but younger adults who want to join are more than welcome. Details of the tiyul are in the previous bulletinin and on the calendar.  In order to register and pay, please contact David Drory, Rehov Alkali 12, first floor, phone number 08-9315847.
     
  • Shul Libraryry
    • Various books have been "borrowed" from the Shul Library. The Library is a REFERENCE LIBRARY not a circulation library. Please return the books ASAP - no questions asked.
    • Also several of the children's books are missing.
      1.  If you mistakenly borrowed the books, please return them.
      2. If you bring young children or grandchildren to shul on Shabbat morning, please bring something to occupy them. Do not remove books from the shul library for this purpose.
    • A number of people donated these books in honor or in memory of a loved one and want to see the books used in the LIBRARY!
    • Thank you for your cooperation.
    Below is an additional  list of books purchased by the greater Hexter  family in the US,  for the shul library,  in  memory of Ellen Hexter z"l .

  • Please send in names (3 maximum) to gabbai@bermanshul.org, (preferably by Thursday) or write them out and to give to the Gabbaim before kria. Names must be resubmitted anew every week.

  • Chugim and activities for all ages at Havayot Schweitz: Including 50+ coffee evenings, מועדון חצ"ב, Bridge for beginners, Tiyulim, etc.. For details and schedules see the Havayot Website (http://havayot.org.il).
  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • Several places are still available for a trip to Ethiopia this summer, from August 22nd to August 30th (northern Ethiopian, Gondar area), with an optional extension to September 5th (southern Ethiopia, tribal area). The trip will be English-speaking, kosher, and shmomer Shabbat, guided by Micha Feldman, who played a pivotal role in Israel's rescue operations in Ethiopia.
