  • Mazal Tov to Ruth and Oz Ainie and all their clan on Maital's engagement to Arik Ben-Baruch of Rehovot son of Shoshana and the late Baruch Sa'adati.

  • Bermans "Seniors" (BBB) Tiyul
    See firsthand how events from the Torah and Mishnah come to life . . .
    The Berman Shul Seniors will hold their first tiyul on Friday, August 3rd (Tu b'Av), to Central Shomron. The bus will leave from Rehovot, Rechov Meltzer at 8:30 a.m and return at around 15:00 (3 p.m.)
    The tour guide will be speaking in ENGLISH.
    The itinerary is as follows:
    • From Rehovot to Har Grizim for a lookout of Kever Yoseph and the communities in the area
    • A visit to an organic farm (such as Givat Olam)
    • A visit to Har Kabir and a lookout of Emek Tirza and biblical stories of the area
    • A visit to the "Porch of the Medina", a breathtaking lookout of the Coastal Region from Peduel
    • A visit to Ariel, the largest city in the area
    The cost for this tiyul is 65 NIS per person (which does not include tips and food- we suggest that everyone pack their own food) Registration and pre-payment is a requirement for participation.   • Please send in names (3 maximum) to gabbai@bermanshul.org, (preferably by Thursday) or write them out and to give to the Gabbaim before kria. Names must be resubmitted anew every week.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • Dear Friends,
    In the next weeks we need to find a care-taker for my mother who suffers from Alzheimer. Her present Metapelet is leaving and we must find a warm, sensible and responsible with excellent recomendations. In case you know about someone please advise me ASAP - the really good one are taken immediately and we already had not so good experiences with care takers.
