ANNOUNCEMENTS  
  • Mazel tov to Evelynne and Hershell Goldman on the batmitzvah of their granddaughter Yocheved (Yoey) on Shabbat Beha'alotecha in Sharon MA.
     
  • Mazal Tov to Molly and Heshi Bodner and the entire extended families on the engagement of Judy to David Levitt, son of Mr. & Mrs. Allen Levitt of Brooklyn.
     
  • We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Julie Spetner ז"ל, one of our earliest members. The funeral took place in Jerusalem on 17th June. Lee is sitting shiva at their home, Ha'kablan 27/13 in Har Nof, through Friday afternoon, 22nd June. The number there is 02‑6527249.

  • The next meeting of the shul Board is scheduled for Wednesday 27th June 2012. The provisional agenda for this meeting  and draft minutes of the previous meeting are posted in the "Members Only" section of the website (user login required). Please address questions of other issues to any board member.

    מועד: יום שישי טו' באב תשע"ב 3 באוגוסט
    יציאה מרחוב מלצר בשעה 8:30 וחזרה עד בערך 15:00
    המסלול: רחובות – הר גריזים תצפית לקבר יוסף וישובי גב ההר–חווה אורגנית 'גבעות עולם' (או מקבילה) – הר כביר תצפית מרהיבה לעבר עמק תרצה המקראי וסיפור המקום - "המרפסת של המדינה" תצפית מרהיבה לעבר מישור החוף מהישוב פדואל - סיור רכוב העיר הגדולה "אריאל". במסגרת הטיול נראה איך אירועים מהתורה והמשנה קמים לתחיה לנגד עינינו.
    מחיר הטיול: 65 ₪ לאדם -המחיר אינו כולל טיפים וארוחות, כל אחד מביא את מזונו
    ההדרכה: באנגלית.
    הרשמה אצל דוד דרורי אישית בלבד. רחוב אלקלעי 12 קומה א' טלפון: 08-9315847 (אין קליטה סלולרית). ההרשמה רק בתשלום והיא מחייבת. כל הקודם זוכה – מספר המקומות מוגבל.

     
HOSPITALITY, COMINGS & GOINGS - הכנסת אורחים
The community wishes to know about new arrivals or people planning to come to Rehovot so that we can welcome them. You may send in their details for the weekly bulletin, to hospitality@bermanshul.org or to Chaya Tannor.
  • STILL NEEDED: A couple needs a family to host them during their studies towards her conversion. They live in the center of Rehovot, so no sleepover needed. For more information on what is needed, please contact Ilana Friedlander at stevenf@netvision.net.il or 057-5706592.
MISHEBEIRACH LECHOLIM + BIKKUR CHOLIM - מישברך לחולים וביקור חולים  
  • Please send in names (3 maximum) to gabbai@bermanshul.org, (preferably by Thursday) or write them out and to give to the Gabbaim before kria. Names must be resubmitted anew every week. 
     
  • If you are convalescing at home and would like visitors, please write in to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.
