  • Kiddush this Shabbat honours our graduating shministim, and is sponsored by their parents. Kiddush will be preceded by the weekly Dvar Torah, given on this occasion by Hadas Feigelson who is one of the graduates. The names of all the graduates and their immediate plans are as follows:

  • Mazal Tov to Mark and Ruth Lavie on the bat mitzvah of their granddaughter, Shahar, in Jerusalem. Mazal Tov to the parents, Haggai and Miri Lavie and to the whole family.

  • The azkara for our dear member Jay Goldstein (Yakov Sandor) ז"ל will take place Monday 21st May (29th of Iyyar, 5772) at the Rehovot Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at 18:30 at the Rehovot cemetery entrance.
     
  • The azkara for our dear member Shamai Siegal ז"ל will take place Monday 28th May (7th of Sivan, 5772) at the Rehovot Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at 19:00 at the cemetery entrance
     
  • The draft minutes of the Annual General Meeting are available for review (link http://bermanshul.org/content/view/171/58/ - member login required),  and are due for ratification at the next Board meeting (planned for 30th May). Requests for substantial changes in content must be submitted to the Board ASAP. Errors may be reported by e-mail to Bermanshul@gmail.com

HOSPITALITY, COMINGS & GOINGS - הכנסת אורחים
The community wishes to know about new arrivals or people planning to come to Rehovot so that we can welcome them. You may send in their details for the weekly bulletin, to hospitality@bermanshul.org or to Chaya Tannor.
  • A couple needs a family to host them during their studies towards her conversion. They live in the center of Rehovot, so no sleepover needed. For more information on what is needed, please contact Ilana Friedlander at stevenf@netvision.net.il or 057-5706592
MISHEBEIRACH LECHOLIM + BIKKUR CHOLIM - מישברך לחולים וביקור חולים  
  • Please send in names (3 maximum) to gabbai@bermanshul.org, (preferably by Thursday) or write them out and to give to the Gabbaim before kria. Names must be resubmitted anew every week.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

PERSONAL & BASEMENT

  • Family of three (15 year old daughter) making aliyah in mid-August. We are in need of temporary furnished housing (2-3 bedrooms) for approximately a month from mid-August to mid-September.
