  • Kiddush this week is sponsored by Yael and Mishael Mishael in honor of their daughter Nogah's Bat-Mitzvah. Mazal tov to Nogah and to her extended family.
     
  • The Annual General Meeting of all the membership has been called for Sunday 6th May at 20:00, as mandated in the constitution (available on the website as official Hebrew version and unofficial English translation). Please put the date in your diaries so that we get a good attendance. In advance of the meeting, reports and financial statements will be made available in the "Members Only" section of the website (member login required). Members wishing to bring up any issue, should approach any Board member or send e-mail to president@bermanshul.org. The same applies to members willing to stand for election to the Audit Committee or the Board, or to serve on any of the subcommittees.
     
HOSPITALITY, COMINGS & GOINGS - הכנסת אורחים
The community wishes to know about new arrivals or people planning to come to Rehovot so that we can welcome them. You may send in their details for the weekly bulletin, to hospitality@bermanshul.org or to Chaya Tannor.

  • Please send in names (3 maximum) to gabbai@bermanshul.org, (preferably by Thursday) or write them out and to give to the Gabbaim before kria. Names must be resubmitted anew every week.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • Read modern Hebrew literature
    Do you want to improve your Hebrew reading? Do you want to break into contemporary Hebrew literature? Join the Anglo Hebrew readers' group. We meet every second Monday morning for one hour of Hebrew reading and discussion of modern Hebrew literature at all levels. On Monday, April 30, we will begin a new book, HaBaita, by Assaf Inbari. This is a good time to join us.
