ANNOUNCEMENTS  
  • Mazal tov to Rhea & Joe Applbaum on the birth of their new grandson, Amitai, born to Rami & Nirit.
     
  • Mazal tov to Hanna & Paul Birnbaum on the the wedding, last week, of their grandson Elisha (son of David and Shandee Birnbaum; and nephew of Shoshi Lesser) to Ayelet Vitkin, of M'vasseret Zion.
     
  • Mazal Tov to Molly & Heshi Bodner and extended families on the Bar Mitzva of their grandson Mordechai Chai-El Malmud, son of Fayga and Haim Malmud of Karmei Tzur. May he grow to torah, chupah and maasim tovim
     
  • Mazel tov to Reuben and Ilona Wides, and David and Tovah Shacham for the Barmitavah of their Grandson Amitai Wides, and to parents Shaun and Orly Wides of Kibbutz Saad
     
  • Τhe yahrzeit for Lee Segel ז"ל  will be commemorated on 21 Shvat - Tues 14 Feb. Family and friends will meet at 4:15 pm, at gate of the Rehovot cemetery.

  • Wednesday night February 15, at 8 p.m. "Three Women and a Talmud: Maggie Anton talks about the research behind her best-selling Rashi's Daughters historical novels." Talk will be in English
     
HOSPITALITY, COMINGS & GOINGS - הכנסת אורחים
The community wishes to know about new arrivals or people planning to come to Rehovot so that we can welcome them. You may send in their details for the weekly bulletin, to hospitality@bermanshul.org or to Chaya Tannor.
  • Looking for 2 families to host people going through conversion :
    1. A mother & 2 daughters one in ninth grade the other in seventh grade living in Rehovot (meals only).
    2. Two soldier girls includes sleeping over.

  • On Shabbat Parashat Mishpatim (17-18/2/12) we will be hosting a group of converts (or in the last stages of conversion). We are looking for families to host them for Shabbat.   • Please send in names (3 maximum) to gabbai@bermanshul.org, (preferably by Thursday) or write them out and to give to the Gabbaim before kria. Names must be resubmitted anew every week.

  • Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
    1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
    2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

  • A 9 yr old boy in Israel, an only child, desperately needs a kidney. He has been on dialysis for some years, but his vascular system can no longer support dialysis. They are looking for anyone, man or woman, between the ages of 25-65. Blood type does not seem to be important, but prefer A+.
