- Derech Hatzlacha to Eitan Safer who was just inducted into the IDF pilots course.
We wish him a safe and meaningful service.
- The Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday was postponed to Thursday 5th January 2012
at 19:30. The provisional meeting agenda has been posted
here. This will be the first regular Board meeting since the Special General
Meeting and the Board will be discussing the meeting outcome, approving the minutes
(available here) and issuing
a statement.
- Dear Bermanoar Parents
– important information about the Shabbaton Bermanoar this coming Shabbat.- You must fill out
the waiver from the website (http://bermanshul.org/BermaNoar_permission_form.pdf).
You can email it back to me until Thursday
night or print it out & give it to your kids to give me (siblings can use one
form but please fill in all names.) we cannot take your child without signing
the waiver!!!
- Please try to pay in exact change – the cost for the Shabbaton
is 120 shekel for FB
- Please remind your kids it is a Bermanoar Shabbaton, sponsored heavily by
the community & as such they are expected to come on time to all activities
- Departure: we will meet next to Ohel Shai at 13:45 (bus must leave no
later than 14:00) please be there on time
- We will be staying at Kibbutz Galon (near Kiryat gat)
- Approximate time of return on Motzei Shabbat: 19:00
- What to bring? Siddur, Chumash, appropriate clothes for the weather. All linen,
towels etc. are supplied. We should be getting to the kibbutz about an hour
before Shabbat leaving them time to shower there.
- For recreation: books, newspapers, group games... are welcome at free time, &
for those of you who asked – there are basketball/soccer courts.

- Membership Directory: In the very near future we plan to print
and distribute a new version. The latest electronic (.pdf) version of the directory

username and password. Members are requested to review their listing in
the current version (not the version printed over 2 years ago). Details may

- The Bet Midrash Minyan needs you! We are looking for a volunteer to head the
minyan's house committee. We have an enthusiastic team to help with the work,
and we need somebody to coordinate their efforts. Please contact Hani Skutch (08-949-4246, hani.skutch@gmail.com) for details about
what is involved.

9th grade), preferably a family living near the Sireni-Hahagana area, but more importantly

- There are a group of American volunteers during their gap year here on Rehov Hashomrim near Menuhah Venahala volunteering and teaching English in the elementary schools in Rehovot. Names must be resubmitted anew every week.

- Please continue to pray for a Rafuah Shlema for Gefen Liav bat Ronit Miriam (2 year-old
daughter of Ronit & Adam Feiler). Her surgery was apparently successful and she is now beginning 4-6 months of chemotherapy. The family acknowledges the strong support, concern and prayers of the entire community.

- The Binah Yeteira Beit Midrash for Women is beginning its Friday morning program,
"Shishi Zugi" on this Friday, 11 Tevet, Parshat Va'Yichi. A great
way to start off your Friday mornings!
This program is a joint study session about Parshat Hashavua for wives and husbands.
The sessions will be taught on alternate Fridays by Rav Ohad Tahar-Lev (of Midreshet
Lindenbaum/Beruria) and by Rav Dov Weisbard (of the Kehillat Yaakov shul in Rehovot).
The Beit Midrash is located in the Amit Girls' School on 36 Lehi Street. Hours
