• Mazal tov to Angie & Mike Zeevi on the birth of their first grandchild, a daughter born to Yael & Maayan Nachum.
   
• We regret to announce the passing of Ruth (Rosh) Cohen ז"ל, mother of former Berman members David Cohen, Shep Cohen and Adina Elefant. The funeral was held on Wednesday, November 23rd in Bet Shemesh. David Cohain will be sitting in Jlem (Mapu 3 02-623-2051) the entire week (till Tues morning). Shep Cohen and Adina Elefant will be sitting in Shep's house in Hashmonaim (Rehov HaTamar) on Friday and Saturday night only. • We are looking for volunteers to help plan a pre-Chaunkah social evening (for adults). Please contact Aviva Spotts to volunteer - avivaspotts@gmail.com, 08-945-1363.

Members with questions/comments should approach any Board member. Please note that the board has reopened the discussion on the proposal to build a new shul. A discussion document on the subject is attached to the minutes.
   

• Yoni is a nice dati MA student at Weizmann, looking for an apt. or roommate...anyone know of anything? (You may have met him...he stayed with the Tannor's on Simchat Tora) yonibain@gmail.com

• Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
  1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
  2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

• Pelech Kiryat Ekron will hold an "open house" evening for those interested in next year's 7th grade class (Sept 2012) on Sunday,11 December 2011, at 19:30 in "Ulam Calanit", in the library building next to the school. For further information, please call the school at 08-945-8113. This event has been placed on the calendar - you can set yourself a reminder.
