• Mazal Tov to Molly and Heshi Bodner and extended families on the upcoming marriage of Daniel to Shir Turgeman, daughter of Devorah and Yacov Turgeman of Beer Sheva.
   
• We are deeply grieved to announce the untimely and tragic passing of our member, Alan Rashkovsky,ז"ל. The funeral was on Sunday 5th June in Toronto, shiva until Erev Shavuot. Alan's parents, Reuven and Fania, may be reached by e-mail (Reuvenrashkovsky@hotmail.com) or telephone (+1−905−764−1503); please note that there is a 7 hour time difference between Israel and Toronto.

• The azkara for our dear Shamai Siegal ז"ל will take place Thursday 9th June (7th of Sivan, 5771) at the Rehovot Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at 18:45 at the cemetery entrance.
   
• The Hakamat Matzevah for Elsa Orchier ז"ל-mother of Nettie Beer- will be held on Sunday morning, June 19th at 8:30 a.m. at the Rehovot cemetery. Family and friends will be meeting at the kever in azor נ"ד Row י"ב
   
• The 3rd Kahn-Bellows Lecture (on the topic of Judaism and Social Justice) will be given by Noam Zion, Faculty member of Hartman Institute, Jerusalem and author of A Different Night: Family Participation Haggadah and many other books. He who will speak in English on Competing Narratives of Giving: Christian Charity, Greek Philanthropy, Rabbinic Tzedakah, and Modern Tikun Olam. Thursday 16th June.Ma’ariv 20:15 Lecture 20:30. Further details are on the calendar.

• There will be a Board meeting next Sunday (12th June) at 20:30 - agenda at http://bermanshul.org/content/view/152/58/ (login required). The meeting will include a discussion of matters arising from the recent AGM (minutes posted at: http://bermanshul.org/content/view/151/58/, login required). Please communicate any other agenda items to president@bermanshul.org or to any other board member.

• There is a collection of coats and jackets, etc. that have accumulated outside shul over the winter. Please take a look and remove anything that might be yours.

• Olga, a young lady in the process of conversion is interested in receiving invitations for shabbat meals. Please call her at 054-536-8043.

• Members organizing private events (e.g. wedding, bar/bat mitzva celebrations etc.) are advised to use the shul calendar as follows:
  1. You can check for a date that does not clash with another event in the community.
  2. You may have your event listed as an anonymous "private event" so that others can avoid scheduling another event at the same time. Please let any board member know or send your request by e-mail to bermanshul@gmail.com.

• I would like to compile an updated list of the teens in the shul who are interested in babysitting. I think the pertinent information that I would like to know is:   
  1. Your age?
  2. Are you willing to babysit until any hour or do you have a limit?
  3. How much do you charge?
  4. Do you have experience with babies and/or young children and changing diapers?
  5. Your phone/cell phone numbers.
